We had Mike W and he is kind and helpful. Always goes above and beyond to make sure our needs are met. He is also easy on the eyes. BJs is lucky to have him
First time eating at BJ’s. Took my girl out and everything was going well. We ordered an avocado roll, pizza special, sampler plate, and drinks. Food was decent and our waitress was great very polite and attentive. The issue came at the end when our Pizookie arrived with dirty spoons. The manager apologized and offered to replace it, but then immediately focused on charging us for the bill. That felt a bit off and honestly kind of disrespectful, given the situation. Seeing dirty silverware made us question the cleanliness of the dishes overall. For a $101+ bill, clean utensils should be the bare minimum. Waitress was awesome. Dirty silverware and poor handling by management were the downfall.
I usually get the ahi tuna salad but today the tuna was a little more fishy than I prefer. It just didn't hit the spot like it usually does. But BJs is a great spot. Waitress was wonderful. She checked backed continuously but not in an annoying interrupting or rushing way which was very enjoyable. Atmosphere was nice. They had multiple football games on, visible in every direction if you're okay with that, which I am. They got rid of the white chocolate macadamia nut pazookie, which is crazy! But I got the strawberry shortcake. I still like the other one better, but this one was a close second!
My first order, placed through Uber Eats, was great. I genuinely enjoyed every bite. Because of that experience, I ordered the same items again; pizza and their signature wings. Unfortunately, when I got home, the wings were overly salty and completely inedible, so I had to throw away all three packs. As an apology, I was given a gift card. I used it, along with additional amount I had to pay, to order three packs of wings and calamari. I even called ahead to specifically ask that the wings not be made salty. Despite that, the wings arrived just as salty as before—and to make matters worse, one pack of wings was missing from the order. When I contacted the restaurant, the manager only offered a refund for the wings. I don’t usually write reviews, but this repeated experience was very disappointing and left a bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering again.
Party of 11 for noon lunch coming from 2 hours away and it was a flawless service. Great communication (they even called to confirm our reservation), excellent wait staff and very good food. Our server was on the ball and made it look easy. She was very attentive. My only gripe - and it's because I cook a lot - is the kids mac and cheese. It amazes me how many places use boxed mac given how incredibly easy it is to make a huge batch of killer mac and cheese that even adults will eat, lol. I get it. They're kids. Kids will eat that stuff and be happy. BJs is definitely on our short list for the next time we're in town.
