I recently got a piece done here by Daniel, @Zide.Nation, and wanted to share what an absolutely incredible experience it was. For starters, this is actually the second tattoo I’ve gotten at Black Serum, both done by Daniel. After seeing how amazing of a job he did on the first one, I really wanted him to work on something else that I’ve been trying to get done for a while, so I reached out to him to see if he’d be interested in doing this fairly large project for me. In base, I wanted a large scale centipede wrapping around the left half of my upper body, and he loved the idea. The process of booking the first appointment was quick, and having loved his prior work, I couldn’t wait to see what he’d create. He was super receptive to ideas and had amazing feedback during the whole process that made the journey feel super relaxed and easy. By the time the appointment came, I was beyond excited. Over all, I believe the whole thing took 5 sessions, most of which were back to back. Almost the entire piece was freehanded with a mix of his own unique outlining style which was super cool to experience and see, and I have to commend him for being able to grind through those days back to back in order to produce such high quality art with the focus he demonstrated. This was by far the largest tattoo project I’ve done and was admittedly pretty nervous for it, but between taking breaks and just hanging out at the shop (which is absolutely gorgeous) the sessions flew by and it was actually a pretty fun time in itself. Over all I can’t express enough how much of a positive experience it was to get work done at Black Serum, and what a pleasure it was to work with Daniel again to put something so beautiful on my body forever. This was my first time visiting Black Serum, and I had an amazing experience working with Katya (@fennec.fox.tattoos). She is incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, with a careful eye for detail and a genuine care for her clients. I asked for her honest opinion on the finer elements (things like shading, line size, and overall tattoo size ) and she gave thoughtful, professional feedback that truly elevated the design. The final tattoo came out even better than I imagined and I am very happy to have entrusted her with the final design. Throughout the entire process, she was communicative and made sure I felt comfortable. You can tell she takes pride not only in her art, but also in the experience she gives her clients. Katya's work is beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a better first visit, and I’m genuinely grateful for her work. Highly recommend Katya at Black Serum and would love to work with her again!
I got my first tattoo here! It was done by lovely Katya who was professional, light-handed, and did an amazing job. She walked me through the whole process and was very receptive to any adjustments or changes with my idea. I’m absolutely in love with my tattoo. I hope to be back in the future! Just got my first tattoo with Katya. She did a fantastic job on my fine line tattoo. Very smooth communication and helped me figure out all the intricacies to my design. She also showed great control of the tools and powered through a decent size tattoo in just 3 hours. Highly recommend her. The studio was bright, clean and beautiful inside. Very comfortable setup. I could tell by all the beautiful sketches over the workspaces that they have a great collection of artists in there currently.
