I've been getting piercings and ink at Black Sheep for some time now and I can't express how much of a fantastic, welcoming studio that it is. Welcoming without being over familiar, professional without being cold— communication is clear, sound and you feel taken care of. Worth noting that I have multiple health conditions, I'm queer and neurodivergent; this studio accommodates me every time. I *know* I'm safe here; it's not just hot air or a sticker on the window. Christina is the most skilled piercer I've ever had. She's fun and friendly without forsaking any professionalism— she'll also tell you the truth about piercing placements, healing, and makes her own curations with unique jewellery. If she doesn't have something you love, she's more than happy to help to find something. The Pink Palace is a whole experience and so worth visiting. Paula is the most gentle tattoo artist I've ever had too; she'll tell you exactly what she's doing and why she's doing it. She communicates clearly, honestly, has great conversation without pressure, and creates from a place of passion, artistic expression and drive. Paula tattoos with connection and intent— she'll take care of you from ensuring you're comfortable with drinks, snacks and music. I really can't recommend her enough; she's put the work in and it shows. I also have been tattooed by Danica and Émilie who guest spot at Black Sheep. Danica's dynamic, shameless energy and Émilie's artistic, emotive expression are amazing to be around and I always look forwards to seeing them, tattoo or no tattoo. Black Sheep has personality— it's homely without demanding over-familiarity from clients and clean without feeling like a medical setting. Everything about my experiences at black sheep have been great! Everyone is really friendly and welcoming. I’ve been tattooed by Paula a couple of times and she always does an incredible job of turning ideas into real life art! Forever recommending her to people as she is one of the best tattoo artists I’ve had the pleasure of being tattooed by! Added a picture of one of my tattoos 💖
I had a double helix piercing. Christina has such a lovely personality, she instantly puts you at ease. She is very friendly and professional, explaining and demonstrating everything she is doing. She is so patient and constantly checks in to make sure you are ok. Her studio is amazing, and I got a sticker for being brave! I will enthusiastically recommend her to anyone.
As a stroke of luck, I showed up at Black Sheep to get my eyebrows pierced by Christina— she was fantastic as always; the piercings went smoothly without a hitch. And once I was done I had the privilege of an impromptu tattoo with Émilie (@void.friends on instagram). I asked for eyes in her fantastic style and she delivered full throttle. I have hEDS, a condition she shares with me, so she knew exactly how to navigate my skin. She made sure I was comfortable and was happy to yap away as she worked; I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. The whole session really was a dream. Émilie guest spots at Black Sheep so keep your eyes peeled if you'd like a session with a brilliant tattoo artist with a one of a kind, unique style. I can't express how lovely the whole day was and how I'll treasure this tatt forever 🖤
Went to Paddy for my first ever tattoo and he was an absolute pro! Really lovely to work with - he made sure I was calm and comfortable throughout, and made the process as painless as possible. Would definitely recommend to others 💛
