We had a great experience! Lisa our waitress was very warm and welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We decided to do the Dine out menu and decided to do a Carpaccio on the side, my favourite of the night, I’m sure I’ll be getting it for every visit. The butter cake was a little too butter for my taste (that’s a me problem) but i loved that they also surprised my brother with a black forest slice for his birthday, Black Forest was my second favourite thing on the table. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection for all 3 of us, loved the sides. Can’t wait to visit you guys again, thanks for a great night!
Prime rip night - not good The server said it's special menu and it's chewy. I didn't realize the meaning until I ate it. It was literally chewy, not soft even I ordered medium rare. I don't think they know about prime rip well. This reminded me of similar experience at family franchise resturant - not steakhouse. And I ordered the corabin wine and found the cork on the surface of wine. The server didn't have the knowledge about what it meant. But, the wine - 20 years old California Syrah was great. If you visit here, please do not order prime rip special. You will be disappointed. The resturant interior was great, and the service was good. It's was my wife's birthday, and the birthday message & cake were prepared. I hope they have a good chef for prime rip and sommelier who has a better skill. Next time, I will try other menu, but I'm not sure when.
I had high hopes for this place but we got kind of disappointed. Terrible service and poor attention to our physically disabled guest. The food overall was very good, with some real highlights. The brioche was outstanding, easily one of the best parts of the meal and absolutely worth mentioning. The chicken was also delicious and well prepared, and dessert was truly out of this world. A fantastic way to end the evening. That said, there were a few disappointments. The calamari tasted like it had been frozen, chopped up, and heavily salted rather than freshly prepared. The mac and cheese sticks were also very underwhelming and not what we expected from a restaurant of this caliber. Service at reception was another downside. We had booked our table weeks in advance, yet were still made to wait about 30 minutes at the front before being seated, which took away from the overall experience. We had told them about someone in our party that was disabled and they made sure we got the farthest table on the second floor. With some improvements to consistency and reservation handling, this could easily be an exceptional dining experience.

The food was outstanding; the steak was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. Every dish, from appetizers to sides, was beautifully presented and delicious. The cocktails and wine selection were excellent, and the team’s recommendations made the evening even more special. The staff went the extra mile to make the birthday celebration feel memorable, which we truly appreciated. Black + Blue is the ideal spot for celebrating milestones. We started our evening at the bar, and the bartenders set the tone with warm hospitality and excellent service that was attentive, friendly, and quick without ever feeling rushed. Once seated for dinner, the experience only got better. Ryan H provided truly exceptional service: professional, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. He anticipated what we needed before we even asked, and his attention to detail elevated the entire meal. The Manager, Jason, also made a point of checking in on us, which we really appreciated. Their attentiveness and genuine care added a thoughtful touch that made us feel valued throughout the evening. As for the food, it was cooked to absolute perfection. Each dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and delivered exactly as ordered. Overall, Black+Blue delivered an unforgettable night with top-tier service and perfectly executed dishes. We’ll definitely be returning!
