Had the ribeye steak and chips with peppercorn sauce. I asked for medium well and the steak was nice and juicy. Delicious steak would recommend. The arancini starter is ok but nothing special. I enjoyed the pistachio and chocolate cream it was light but tasty and a nice way to finish the meal. Really good service the staff are very attentive. Would come back again.

We’ve been twice recently and are so impressed with the menu, service and refurb. The new menu is amazing, the starters are so generous we could barely finish our mains. Specially shout out the Belly Pork starter and Bone Barrow Tartare which speaks for its self in the photos. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the weights/ cuts for the specials were substantial and great value for money. We wanted rare steaks and were made aware it can take longer- staff were really attentive! Desserts were great! Wish there was more sauce with the sticky toffee pudding but wanting more is hardly a negative. Everything was great. We’ll be back in the near future.
Went here for food on Light Night and wasn’t disappointed. Everything was excellent. Great seafood starters including oyster, mussels and prawns. The mussels were quite small but still tasty. Steak was cooked very well and a good size. Staff very were friendly and professional. Cocktails were also very good. Good atmosphere with lots of people dining. Very good location for buses and trains. Would definitely recommend.
Incredible evening at Blackhouse for their event with Whitby Lobster Conservation. The food was next-level — the mixed prawns were a standout starter, and the lobster main was honestly unreal. Knowing how rare it is to try Whitby lobster (only 5% stays in the UK!) made it feel even more special. (We got here from the guys at Whitby lobster conservation and I learnt so many interesting facts which added so much to the event was just about food but the story). The jasmine curd dessert was light, refreshing, and perfectly sized. Wine pairings were spot on — not the biggest fan of the dessert wine, but that’s personal taste (I prefer drier wines). What really stood out was the service. The staff were knowledgeable, genuinely passionate, and talked us through the menu with care. Easily some of the best service I’ve had in Leeds. An unforgettable experience — can’t wait to come back.
