I had a wonderful experience with Bluemel's to do a small landscaping project next to my patio. My project turned out wonderful and in a short amount of time. A huge shout-out to Carlos, Javier, Jose and Danny for their team effort to coordinate, schedule and install this project. It makes me happy to look out at the finished result. Thank you, Bluemel's for being a quality and caring business. I am so grateful.
Tyler, Javier and crew did an amazing job on our project! We appreciate all the work you guys put in! There is a reason why we use Bluemels. This was our third time and the pictures speak for themselves. Thanks for a job well done.
I had an average experience with Bluemel's. I had them complete a drainage project in my backyard in fall of 2024. The crew arrived on time every day and were respectful of my property. The design decisions weren't the best. For example, sod was laid right against my home under an awning. From my understanding, this isn't typically recommended and it's clear why - the sod died very quickly during the summer. There was to be a swale installed on a hill I had and I really hope I wasn't charged extra for it since it's very shallow and is more of a pain than a help - it's not effective at all. There was a section of the hill that was not sodded due to "we ran out of sod that was quoted." We had agreed to bury some drainage pipe that leads to the street. The drainage pipe was not buried well. It was only buried maybe 2 inches under ground. Rainfall easily washed away the dirt exposing the pipe making the install look unprofessional. When bringing this up, I was told that "Well we didn't need to bury the pipe at all." Not only that, they terminated the pipe well before the street against my expectations. This caused any drainage to wash away the comically small amount of river rock that they put at the termination and drowned the lawn from the termination to the street. I had to buy some more pipe to extend to the street which looks awful. Also, the area in which the pipe was buried is sinking which created a valley suggesting that the pipe wasn't properly buried. I appreciated that they threw down some seed in areas that they didn't need to. The new installations have been working as expected but there was a lot to be desired from the detailing and finishing of the project. If I choose to work with Bluemel's again, I hope they take more pride in the appearance of their finished product.
How do you go from one star to five stars? Communicate! Once we finally connected, we received a fair bid with a favorable schedule. Tyler got the ball rolling, and Javier took it from there. With his crew of Jose and Danny, they made short work of the old to help prepare us for the new. We have everything in the ground and can't wait till the little babies are blooming!
I come to this location mainly for the coffee shop. Today I also was looking for some annual plants so I strolled around some of the greenhouses. They had quite a selection, but none of the items that I was looking for (flats of blue salvia). I was also looking for some 12 inch round stepping stones, with embedded aggregate. Apparently they have them, but not for retail, only available through their landscaping services. Too bad :( There were plenty of staff on hand to answer questions or check out.
