My daughter has been training at Boise Studio of Self Defense for three weeks and she absolutely loves it. Tyson (the owner and lead instructor) is absolutely amazing with her. We find Tyson patient, respectful, good natured, and more than happy to spend extra time with any student that needs it. A bonus that we have found with this studio is that our daughter has made several friends which she always enjoys playing with after her class is over. During our daughters class we have noticed that many of the more experienced children are happy to help with the newer / younger children when they need it, which is really nice to see. Some of the parents are friendly and all the instructors and children that we have met have been outstanding. To date in just a few weeks our daughter has developed body awareness, self confidence, balance and hand eye coordination. I have experience with some martial arts facilities overseas and can honestly say that if you have children and are looking for a place for them to train that is decent this is it! Boise Studio of Self Defense is the absolute best with kids. H
This is the best dojo in town. Sensei Tyson is a phenomenal teacher, and he's great with the kids. We have gone to a couple of other places, but there are quite a few McDojo's in the area. You will not get that experience here. Our son has been doing karate since he was two, and within the first year of training here, his form improved significantly. He continues to grow, which is amazing to witness. Thank you for this business. The Wentworth family highly recommends and is so grateful.
This is by far the best karate experience I could ask for. They are a family dojo that's very committed to educating all people of all ages. My son couldn't be happier. I love them my boy will be in this dojo for years to come!
My son has been taking Karate classes here for 3 1/2 years and absolutely loves it. Sensei Tyson, Sensei Shelly and Sensei Nate are incredible with the kids. My son always looks forward to class, has a wonderful time and has learned so much. The Dojo is very nice as well. It's spacious, clean and well-organized. I highly recommend Boise Studio of Self Defense for anyone interested in Martial Arts. ;)
My 8 year old Daughter just started classes here 3 weeks ago, she LOVES this program! She likes the Senseis, the activities in class, the personal instruction, the ability to do an extra day on Saturdays for fun sparing and extra cool activities. My Husband and I were very impressed with the Owners, the Sensei’s (especially the main Sensei Tyson!) the Dojo because of its space and cleanliness, the flexibility of the schedule, the discipline and respect integrated into the class and there’s even an additional monthly activity called Ninja night and they allow siblings for an additional charge. We are so glad to have found this awesome program, we highly recommend Boise Studio of Self Defense for any children and they even have classes for adults! A+++
