My visit to this salon was disappointing. Though the stylist herself was pleasant, I felt a significant amount of pressure to commit immediately, giving the impression of a "take it or leave it" ultimatum. Regrettably, I consider the $75 consultation cost a total loss. Thankfully, I found my new go-to: Hair Design by Kelly Dinger, also in San Mateo. Kelly is absolutely amazing—she is incredibly knowledgeable and gave my thinning hair and bold spot a fabulous transformation. I deeply appreciate that her pricing is reasonable and budget-friendly. If you have issues with hair loss hair, Kelly is the expert you need.
Emily is very professional & knowledgeable- prompt & efficient. She does excellent work & will meet your needs & listens to your needs. My experience turned out very well. I would hirely recommend her to anyone who needs help with hair issues.
I have horrible hair. It has always been terrible, and it's never going to get any better. Recently, I had extensions and I had them out because, while they looked nice, they showed a lot! Then I compounded the problem by getting a bad haircut. So I looked for a solution and found Bond. I liked what Emily, the adorable owner, said because they deal with hair loss and offer a customized solution. Here in the City, the average age is Yuppie and everyone wants to look like Kim K. I wanted to look like me and Emily introduced me to a 'hair system'. I was initially worried, and my concern intensified when I saw it. But I need to tell you, my hair looks natural and stunning. If you hate your hair or it is thin, this is the place for you! It is well worth the cost to look good.

She took the time to understand my pre-chemo hairstyle, my lifestyle, and what would make me feel most like myself again. The attention to detail was remarkable. Instead of just offering a wig, she used my own pre-chemo hair as a reference to match the color and cut the human hair wig to perfectly frame my face. The moment I looked in the mirror, it wasn't just a wig I saw—it was a version of myself I thought I had lost. The quality of the human hair is absolutely incredible; it moves and feels like my natural hair. The personalized fitting and styling made it look so realistic that no one can tell it isn't my own. This experience was not just about getting a human hair wig. It was about reclaiming a piece of my identity and regaining my confidence during a vulnerable time. Bond Hair Bar offered more than a service; they offer a lifeline of hope and compassion. For anyone facing hair loss due to chemotherapy, this is more than a salon—it's a sanctuary. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I have been going to Emily and her staff since May of 2025. It has been best experience of my life with hair care. I am so happy I found Emily, her professionalism, knowledge, education, and quality is A+++. If you want to look like your are your very best when you wake up, and about to walk the runway, this is where you need to go. I get compliments non stop everywhere I travel or go. Its so nice to be told how beautiful I look at 44 years old by strangers, family and friends. My confidence is the best it has ever been. I highly recommend Emily, I trust her 100%. Emily has a huge heart and wants you to leave happy. I have over 10+ years tried many other places and never sticked with it because the quality of other places didn't last or it would damage my hair. Emily clearly has top notch education and a great amount of knowledge. You want Neiman Marcus Designer quality, then this is your place to go. My hair has zero damage and healthy since I have been going to Bond Hair Bar.
