Not good buyers. I've sold at many of these locations. I normally go in with a bag of clothes and come out with around $100 cash and they normally take most of the items I bring because I'm careful to only bring nice quality items. I put together a bag today and they passed on everything except a pair of Calvin Klein jeans. There was a brand new leather jacket and four pairs of guess shoes that are practically new and still in the guess stores on the shelves at full retail price and she hardly even looked at them and passed. Definitely got the feeling I was dealing with a misandrist who was passing on items out of spite and rudely passing on the items without even a proper look. I like Buffalo Exchange but this particular location is not a good place to sell. When you can expect to bring a big bag full of very lightly used designer name brand items and even get a decent look you know there's something wrong. If I was the owner or manager of this location I would be pretty upset to learn that my employees were just passing on good items that could make the store money out of their own personal bias. The shoes were practically brand new and I think they know what to put on the shelves at the guess stores. These shoes are still on the shelves in the stores, and the buyer looked right down her nose at them for a brief second and then push them away. Clearly they are not doing their job correctly and they are not an asset to a business trying to profit.
I should have known better than to come here after reading the reviews. I came in to sell and see what the store was about and it was a horrible experience. Before I got up to the counter to sell I heard the blonde manager talking to a seller GLOATING about the fact that she has banned “resellers” from selling because she doesn’t like them. I am a business owner myself and I would never ban customers from a store only because I don’t like them, ESPECIALLY if they are bringing profit. That is one hell of a way to run a business. Very unprofessional, I am never returning if she is still in charge.
Of all places, I wasn't expecting Buffalo Exchange to roll back DEI. I have been going here for years back when the store was actually diverse in both staff and clothing options while tammy was the store manager. I cant believe new management has gotten rid of all the kind long term POC employees that I once knew. The store is now filled explicitly with white people who have created a hostile environment for POC wanting to sell or purchase items. Very easy to get racially profiled and followed around the store now. If you're anything other than white, expect to be treated poorly by the staff and to have half your stuff passed on because its not what white people want. Extremely disappointed and heartbroken over the new change in management. Wouldn't be surprised if this review isnt taken seriously because of them. Will not be returning. Do better.
Cool shop. Great selection of items with reasonable prices. You might find a good deal on bags, glasses, pants, shirts, and shoes. Wife found a great bag here for a very reasonable price. You can sell clothing items here and get cash and/or store credit. Store was very clean when we visited. I noticed employees actively cleaning the clothing racks when we were shopping. Not sure I’ve ever seen that at any retail store. Good on you folks!
Super kind staff with lovely personalities, always very helpful! My gf and I love to come browse every so often to see what's new. The mannequins are styled by the employees and I love to take pictures of them for outfit ideas. Anytime we ever have liked the mannequins' outfits the employees have always been extremely helpful in finding us similar pieces for our sizes. Store is always clean and just has great vibes :)
