Bushido is a wonderful facility! The coaches are well-trained, knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. The price is reasonable and the facility is always clean. My son loves attending practice and watching his skills improve inspired me to also join the adult jujitsu classes. I am a beginner with no skills or previous training and the coaches have been nothing but supportive. We are proud to be members and can't recommend them enough!
As a family we searched several places for my teen. The size of classes at all levels stood out as the first sign we were in the right place-they seem to be doing something right. Then, the way the instructors taught was the 2nd sign because the teaching style is clearly created to develop habitual skills. Finally, the kindness of the owner and those who work here was the 3rd reason...I am grateful we found the right place for my son to learn MMA.
We have been to several dojos not just in the U.S. but also in other parts of the world and BUSHIDO is always our first choice when returning to El Paso,TX. We had our other two kids (now adults) attend back in 2008 and the skills and discipline they learned then has stayed with them as adults. At BUSHIDO, Coach Hugo separates the kids by age then by skill level, which we haven’t seen in other places. This makes all the difference in the learning process. Hugo and his team care, not just about the work but also about the kids and it shows. At BUSHIDO we see discipline and instruction, but at other dojos, we have seen “coaching” where the kids are there for an activity, just something to do, or don’t correct them. It was a waste of our time, money, and our child’s time and effort. We respect the coaches at BUSHIDO, because we know they care and are experienced competitors. In the end, we know our children (adults and teen) have the capabilities and confidence to defend themselves.
I trained at this amazing school in 2010 and now my daughter currently trains here. The school will challenge and prepare you for competition while creating a very disciplined, confident, and peaceful mindset. To watch MMA evolve and Bushido being in the mix of it is an understatement. I encourage anyone to try a free session. You will get addicted to becoming a new you.
A premiere martial arts school training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA, Wrestling, and Strength & Conditioning classes in a 3000 Sq ft facility available all week. Stop in and talk to Professor Hugo Sida or Averie, the front desk manager. Instructors do accept private classes outside those scheduled.
