Went for my birthday last weekend and had a wonderful time! Food and drinks were all amazing, met every expectation I had for a memorable dinner celebration. The restaurant itself is gorgeous too, loved the ambiance. Our server José was also exceptional. We would definitely love to come back again soon!
We did a girls night dinner at Butcher & Rose and it was fantastic! 💖 The service was wonderful, the atmosphere is gorgeous and the food was top tier! Shout out to our lovely Abby💗 who was extremely knowledgeable and kind! The food & drinks!! I recommend: - The Rose specialty martini, it’s beautiful 😍 the ice rose was stunning. $19 🌹 - The potatoes Anna (my favorite thing on the table, but I love potatoes 🥔 so that tracks) - The brussel sprouts were so delicious 🤤 - the bread 😍😍😍 - I got the Maine stuffed lobster, it was beautifully presented. Lots of good lobster meat that I didn’t have to work extra hard for! 🦞 Other details to know! -Valet was kind and helpful ($15 + tip). 🚙 -When we got in the host found our reservation and we had to wait to be seated. Which was fine because our party was running behind. (They do have a late policy, for larger parties —ours was 6 ladies—at least half the party needs to be there in order for them to seat you. 15 min grace period) ⏰ -We went upstairs to wait and the bathrooms are all up there. Very nice, clean, and well stocked for the women. 🚽 ✨
Butcher and Rose provided an exquisitely elegant dining experience, with a refined atmosphere and meticulous attention to detail that elevated our evening. The exceptional service and delightful ambiance were particularly noteworthy. Although I've visited many steak restaurants, this was my first time here, and it was well worth making it a destination during our weekend in Columbus for a Buckeye football game. Our visit coincided with our 9-year anniversary, and the staff made it special by presenting us with a card and multiple congratulations. The decor and location exuded a swanky vibe, making us feel rather affluent. I chose the butcher's special cut, a beautifully marbled A5 Wagyu bone-in dry-aged ribeye, arguably one of the best steaks I've ever had. My wife opted for the Dutch Harbor king crab legs, and we shared a side of chili-roasted broccoli, which added a tangy twist that I thoroughly enjoyed. The wine selection was extensive, and the restaurant's fresh bakery on the second floor ensures every dessert and bread is baked in-house. We indulged in the Parker House bread before our meal, which had a unique rye salt taste and was incredibly soft and fresh, enhanced by the cultured butter. Since it was our anniversary, we were treated to a complimentary slice of their in-house baked cheesecake, which was rich and delicious with a pistachio crust and raspberry drizzle. For a top-tier dining experience in Columbus, Butcher and Rose is a must-visit. Although it didn't surpass my previous experiences at The Precinct by Jeff Ruby, it certainly matched their high standards, with the Wagyu cut being one of the finest steaks I've ever enjoyed.
Beginning with the atmosphere alone, this place is really pretty! The floral arrangements hanging from the ceiling will have you constantly looking up to admire them. They have an excellent wine list, and the menu will make it hard to choose because you will salivate over a lot of the selections. We shared a bottle of Caymus and Toro Crudo to start. For dinner, I landed on the stuffed lobster tail and it did not disappoint. It was loaded with flavor and plenty of lobster meat. My husband did the Waygu Manhattan Strip, and we shared the Chili Roasted Broccoli and Roasted Mushrooms. Everything tasted amazing!!! We of course, had to end the evening with the Honey Butter Cake for dessert. This place is perfect for celebratory dinners, dining with out-of-town friends, or no occasion at all. We will definitely be returning!
Everything was great but the beef wellington AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Now the Manhattan wagu 12oz Left much to be desired; underwhelming ordered med rare and was definitely med well. There just wasn't anything to it , seasoning was missing. The cut we got was slightly tough and not flavorful. The bibb salad was average- slightly mediocre with the dressing. The creamed spinach was delicious, however, it would be nice if the bacon chunks were sliced thinner/smaller. The scalloped potatoes were extremely disappointing - bland. Bread service with the basic bread they offer was average also, not worth the $13. I would go back just to have the beef wellington and creamed spinach. Atmosphere was beautiful and service was impeccable. Great date night spot!!!
