Although this is a very lovely garden centre,the cafe offers very unsatisfactory service We popped by for a quick breakfast/ brunch at 11.50 only to be informed there is no food till 12.00 and then it will be lunch menu only !!!!.what sort of nonsense is this !! They informed us they have decontaminated after breakfast ready for the lunch menu ,meanwhile they are offering sausage,egg and chips on the lunch menu ,sounds like a brunch menu to me completely ridiculous !! The staff were just standing around chatting When asked to refill my flask with tea which is a normal occurrence in London I was pushed a pot of tea with a jug of milk and told to do it myself Absolutely appalling customer service ,these staff need customer service traning fir sure !!

By far the best garden centre in the area! They always have an extensive, expertly curated and interesting array of healthy, well cared for plants with some rare gems too. On many occasions I've been delighted to find plants on my wish list which I thought I'd have to order from specialist nurseries because nobody else sells them locally. House plants are excellent too - super healthy and they often stock rare, unusual varieties. It's a pleasure to wander around at any time of year. Staff are very helpful knowledgeable and friendly and passionate about gardening. Staff have helped me taking purchases back to my car and loading them up without being asked, many times. The man who helped me last time gets bonus points for managing not to laugh at me when I nearly knocked myself out opening my car boot (and forgetting about the bike rack....). Their display of perennials in the spring/summer is gorgeous and I enjoyed stealing inspo from it this year. Really interesting and beautiful combinations and choices. Honestly it's ruined other local garden centres for me - haven't found another which has sparked the same sense of joy and discovery I feel when roaming around a fully stocked CGC in the spring or summer. Sad, maybe - or at the least, a clear sign middle age is fast approaching....but when my husband asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday in May I actually chose to come here. I had a fantastic couple of hours skipping around the aisles excitedly and loading up my trolley - made all the better by the fact my husband wasn't allowed to say no to anything because it was my birthday. Highly recommended!

It was nice to visit a family run garden centre and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was also permitted to take my dog, however he wasn't allowed into the restaurant. It didn't matter though because I purchased some Christmas items from the lovely Christmas shop, and some plants. There were plenty of plants, pots, houseplants and, as I said, a Christmas shop.

Great garden centre, with lovely seasonal autumnal and Christmas displays. Also very wheel-chair friendly and accessible, including the cafe. Several vegan options in the cafe and tasty food. Would recommend!

Such a pleasant and inspiring place to visit, even if you're not a gardening expert. The plants are always healthy, and the staff are passionate and helpful. Their cafe is also lovely for a cup of tea afterwards.
