His staff were very polite and pleasant, I had an easy-breezy visit.
I came here for a comet shaped mole that was looking strange. Previous doctors had said to just monitor it. Dr Eric Meinhardt saw it and took a shaving to be sure (which was completely painless). He was very considerate of the fact it was next to a tattoo and didn’t damage the design. It turned out to be a melanoma. He called me with the results and explained everything. I was booked in within 5 days for surgery. This was my first ever of this kind. He talked to me with respect and made me feel comfortable, despite the circumstances for my visit. He was still very considerate not to ruin my tattoo any more than he had to, even though I said it didn’t matter. I really appreciated his pro active approach and disarming nature. Highly recommend.
My experience with this office has been fairly disappointing. I went there originally in early january for a benign, harmless growth on my neck that I wanted to have removed and also to show the doctor a rash that was coming/going. He shrugged off the rash and said he could freeze off the growth on my neck and it would come off in 4-6 weeks, simple and easy. They charged me $150 for this visit. He froze it off and then after 2 months, it still hadn't come off. I called the office and they said I could come in again and have him freeze it again, and that it would cost $150 again. What? He didn't mention that I might have to come in over and over and over to have this thing removed...it should be a simple/clean process. I ended up talking to them back/forth many times, explaining that he assured me it would come off and didn't mention anything about me having to come over and over. They eventually agreed to let me come in and he wouldn't charge to freeze it again. I hesitantly made the appointment and when I showed up, he explained it can often take many treatments and they don't guarantee it will come off. Funny - he didn't mention that originally, if he had, I wouldn't have bothered having it frozen in the first place. This appointment was also disappointing as they charged me $70 (apparently not charging me for the freezing but charging me for the appointment) This strikes me as an office that does whatever they can to get you to come back over and over. He even mentioned there was a cutting process that would be more efficient but more painful, and I wish he'd told me about that from the start as I would have 100% opted for that route. I doubt this growth will come off even after the 2nd freezing treatment, but either way, I won't be back. The staff is rude and very dismissive and they seem to think people in LA have infinite time and money to come back over and over to keep them plus with cash flow or something. Avoid - go anywhere else.
Dr. Meinhardt est absolument incroyable ! Je l'ai vu plusieurs fois pour diverses affections cutanées (des bosses qui sont apparues sur mon visage comme par magie juste avant mon mariage, des taches sombres (dues au vieillissement naturel et à l'exposition au soleil), des rides, etc.) et à chaque fois, il a été patient, aimable, compétent, et il a su évaluer la situation sans faire plus que nécessaire. Il ne vous guidera jamais ni ne vous convaincra de faire quelque chose juste pour gagner de l'argent; il investit vraiment dans ses patients et leurs objectifs à long terme, s'assure qu'ils comprennent les traitements nécessaires et vous met aussi à l'aise que possible. Le fait qu'il ait suivi et obtenu son diplôme dans l'un des meilleurs programmes de résidence en dermatologie du pays (UCSF) aide aussi, ce qui me rassurait de savoir qu'il était bien formé dans le domaine qu'il pratiquait ! Faites-moi confiance quand je dis que Dr. Meinhardt est une perle parmi tant d'autres, et je le recommanderais vivement à quiconque !!
On m'a recommandé le docteur Meinhardt par un ami et je ne pourrais pas être plus heureux de l'avoir trouvé. Au début je voulais qu'il reste notre meilleur secret bien gardé, hehe, mais je vais le partager ! Lors de chacun de mes rendez-vous, il a toujours été si professionnel et attentionné - il ne m'a jamais pressé ni donné l'impression que mes questions étaient idiotes. Et le personnel de son cabinet est toujours aussi serviable au téléphone. J'ai hâte de recommander encore plein d'amis vers lui !
