I stopped by Canadian Tire on Bentall Street in Vancouver when I needed a few things for home and my car and it turned out to be a way better trip than I expected. Walking in was fun because it felt like a big treasure chest full of everything from tools and tires to garden stuff and toys, so I could wander around and actually find a few surprises I didn’t know I needed. The staff I ran into were helpful when I asked where things were and even pointed me to the best aisle for the exact parts I needed for my bike. The parking was easy and the store was clean, so it felt like I could take my time instead of rushing. At the checkout the cashier was nice and talked to me like a person, not like I was just another customer. After leaving with my cart full of gear I felt good because Canadian Tire really had what I was looking for all in one place, which saved me a bunch of trips to other stores. I would definitely go back next time I need tools or stuff for my house.
Mark was extremely kind and helpful. Even though he was already short on space, he still took the time to help us and install our tires. His customer service was excellent and very appreciated. Highly recommend him 💯🎄 ALSo Alex from the Automotive Department was amazing. He helped us on Boxing Day and even stayed extra time to make sure we could buy the right winter tires for our upcoming ski trip. Super helpful, patient, and genuinely kind. We really appreciated his dedication and great customer service. Highly recommend all 3 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
DO NOT buy this trolley jack for $49.99. It does not lift to its advertised maximum height. Even after adding jack oil, it still won’t pump properly. This product should be recalled. Spend your money on a better jack elsewhere...they do not accept return and it's my first time ever returning an item here.
Great customer service and knowledgeable staff. If you’re shopping for hunting, camping, or especially fishing gear, look for Louis or Alex — they really know their stuff and go out of their way to help. This store is well-organized, and the staff make a big difference. Almost a 5-star experience.
I’ve been shopping at Canadian Tire more often recently, and I’m consistently impressed by just how much they actually carry. It’s one of those stores where you walk in for one or two things, and end up realizing they sell everything from car parts, to kitchen gadgets, to outdoor furniture, and even groceries. It’s basically a one-stop shop for so many different needs, which makes it super convenient. The layout is easy to navigate, and I’ve always been able to find what I’m looking for without too much trouble. Prices are fair, and I really appreciate the frequent sales and rewards program—it makes a noticeable difference over time. Staff are generally friendly and helpful when I need assistance. That said, one thing that keeps me from giving a full 5 stars is the occasional security issue. Like many large stores these days, I’ve noticed homeless individuals sometimes wandering inside, which can make the atmosphere feel a little less comfortable. It’s not the staff’s fault, and I understand it’s a challenge many retailers are facing, but it does affect the overall shopping experience at times. All in all, though, Canadian Tire remains one of my favorite go-to stores for its wide variety and surprising selection. I’d definitely recommend it to others—just be aware that the environment isn’t always perfectly controlled.
