This place was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. The escape room was boring, poorly designed, and nothing matched the hype from the fake-looking reviews online. For the price they charge, you would expect at least decent puzzles or an engaging experience but instead everything felt lazy, confusing for no reason, and not fun at all.

We tried the Charlotte’s Attic game. It was so much fun and even though we didn’t make it within the one hour had an amazing time. The host Jasenya was super nice and even tried to comfort us when she had to point out and obviously clue we missed. We are planning to return soon to try ourselves on another room.

Geleen and Jasenya were our fantastic game masters for 13 Doors and The Farm—they made the experience truly amazing! Both games were perfect for our 2-person team, and I highly recommend them. 5 stars!

Geleen was very welcoming and made the visit so much better. The escape room was great and had some challenging puzzles to solve. Me and 3 other friends did 13 doors and it was fun :)

The best escape room in downtown Toronto! Two of my best friends and I came to Captive to celebrate my friend's birthday, and we had such a fun time throughout the game. We did the "Charlotte" theme, and we loved that the escape room was designed in an attic setting (we did get a little bit cold tho). Such a fun game with different rooms inside, and a variety of different puzzles to solve throughout the game. The puzzles were well thought out and good balance of difficulty. The staff were really helpful and friendly, they also have board games, leaderboard, photo wall available. Can't wait to come back for another game sometimes.
