Date Night We once again had a rare Monday night sitter. It was time to partake in Carmela's Date Night Deal, available Mondays and Tuesdays! I made a reservation ahead of time cuz it can occasionally be a bit tough to get a table. This deal includes a Bottle of Wine, Shared Appetizer, 2 Entrees, and Shared Dessert from a select menu that changes monthly. My husband automatically went with the Cabernet. I am not a Wine drinker so this is all him. We chose the Mushroom Toast to start. Suuuuper yummy, love Portabellas! For an entree I got the Butternut Squash Ravioli, great vegetarian option! The quality was there but they were much sweeter than I'd anticipated. I reaalllly wish the toppings included more than a few pieces of spinach and onions. A bit extra on top would've had a major impact! My husband's main was the Chicken Piccata. He said all the components were great and well thought-out, just needed more sauce. Really good Mash and Green Beans. Chicken was nice and juicy but was a bit smaller portion than similar dishes he's ordered. He'd still get it again. Dessert was the Better Than Sex Cake. It's funny cuz even though I don't do a lot of sweets I freaking Love Toffee 😆. We've had this before. Delicious yet again! After dinner drinks included an Espresso Martini for him and Paris Cosmo for me, Super Yum! Our server Brandi was So Nice. This is one of the coolest places for ambiance (although on the loud side). They have several menus but the Date Night option is a Great Deal for a Great Price! Originally posted to EAT IT in Lincoln, NE on Facebook. Join Us!!

Our family loves Carmela‘s! Not only is the food amazing but so how are the staff and the owner. Great place to have an amazing dinner, celebrate family milestones, have an amazing date night…. Oh, and did I mention their wine dinners?!?! Phenomenal!!

Carmella’s is probably my favorite restaurant in Lincoln. The only thing I truly care about is the food. Service is always fine though. Everything I’ve had is so good, but my favs are definitely the Chicken Juliette and the brussel sprouts. The walleye and salmon are amazing too! I love the coziness of the restaurant and also the decor and dim lighting. My only suggestions are to perhaps add some heaters for tables close to the door. The drafts can be quite cold in winter and experience would be more enjoyable if warmer. Also the candles aren’t always lit on the tables, I love the dim atmosphere, but it is a bit too dark at times with no candle light. Oh, and Google says open all day, but they are not. Either way, highly recommend!

We had reservations and were seated promptly. The mussels and brussel sprouts appetizers were great. The filet Oscar was phenomenal. The atmosphere was good. We liked the lights and music.

Cool atmosphere, lots to look at. We enjoyed an old fashioned (cubes rather than a single large ice), a cab from Chile (tasty, fruity, happy), crab cakes (3 meaty cakes (good but could use a touch more of an interesting flavor or zip), fig salmon with butternut risotto (pretty tasty), meatballs in marinara (good), stuffed mushrooms (good) & creme brulee (texture was a bit off, not creamy & it was a bit over sweet). I'm personally a creme brulee snob 🤷♀️. Overall, a good experience! (I forgot to take more pics!)
