Lorenzo and his team are welcoming, kind, and clearly have a passion for serving delicious food to their community. The seating and music were comfortable and lively. The food was so good. I got some al pastor tacos with salsa quemada (best salsa!). My husband got a burrito with various meats and fillings. We left full and happy!
Customer service was incredible. There was a lady by the name of Veronica, and another named Rose who were very happy people. And willing to help with any questions and never let you get to the point where you had to ask for something. I will tell all my friends and family to go here two thumbs up. The food was also very fresh and delicious. I would have posted photos, but we started eating the food so quick.
Ambience: The inside of Catrinas is a bright and colorful place. There's Catrinas or "dia de los muertos" decorations all over the walls. Latin music is always playing lightly in the background. (banda, cumbia, bachata) It's typically not busy unless you arrive around noon during week days. Staff: Every employee I've interacted with at Catrinas was polite and always willing to help with smile. Most are immigrants, very hard working people. Drinks: They have traditional mexican drinks like agua de horchata and agua de jamaica, they also have mexican coke and jarritos. One of the few places that also sell Negra modelo. Food: This is my go to spot. Been coming here for years and I always order the same thing. A Catrina bowl with Mexican rice, black beans, fajitas, carnitas, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, pico de gallo, jalapeños and salsa de arbol. If you like Chipotle you're going to love this place. I think Catrinas gives bigger portions, better tasting food for a cheaper price. However their carnitas recipe is not traditional. They also have burritos, tacos and quesadillas. Price: I usually take a picture of the receipt so I can upload it on these Google reviews but I've been coming to this location for years so I know the price is always just shy of $11. I think its worth it. Overall: For the quality of food, the quantity that they give you I haven't found a better restaurant outside of the twin cities. 100% recommend this place! The best things about Catrinas is their Catrinas punch card. After 8 meals you get a free meal.
I was going to say a good thing or two about this place but right after I left about 10 minuetes later my stomach was killing me. The flavor in the chicken was non existent and it wasn’t really juicy but it wasn’t terrible the outcome was tho. I would not recommend to anyone. Beans were not flavored what so ever, the food was clean tho.
1/14/25 11:30am Great food. Had 3 hard shell tacos with ground beef. Nice rich beef flavor. You pick the meat and toppings you like and they just keep putting them on so you'll need a fork for what falls off. Never saw that before. Mistakenly picked a table by the door on a below zero day. Everyone else knew better.
