Sales rep Fernando is. very knowledgeable & accomodating in finding the right sound system for my needs. The Peavey XRs mixer & EV speakers are fantastic. Go to Central Florida speakers & speak with Fernando. 5 stars!!!!
This is THE place to go for speaker and mixer repairs and sales. They will help you pick the proper electronics for your specific needs. They demonstrate the products for you and sell you only what you need. And if they like you, they will make you a cup of espresso. Ask for Fernando, he is the Jedi Knight of sound systems!
Absolutely the best service I can remember. Fernando and his brother-in-law are awesome. I took a Definitive Tech D17 speaker to replace the crossover board, and it was done while I waited. Not only that, Fernando is a very interesting person with an incredible heart of hearts and some great stories. Go see them.
DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!!! Please GO TO JAYDON ELECTRONICS!! Fernando is a dishonest man. He bought the store 4-5ish years back, and claims the previous owners reputation of 55 years. He himself has zero knowledge of amps, and is just simply a sleazy businessman. He will claim to all work in house but will send your electronics to someone else and then charge a 100% premium on that cost. Not only that, Fernando likes to think Americans are stupid, and they will pay any price you put in front of them (he charges $70 for a $10 cable, and will take pride in it). I waited 2 weeks, and payed $125, for a quote of 600 dollars (which you will find out later I had done at his competing store for $300). Not agreeing to his price, he was very angry on the phone with not only me, but the other customer he had on another phone (it was rather entertaining to realize wasn’t alone in this problem as he was yelling at the other customer to hold on the other phone). Consequently and obviously, I did not get the repair and I picked up my amp and took it to Jaydon Electronics which is literally 700 feet away and I had it diagnosed and repaired within one week for $300. I can’t believe I wasted 2 weeks for a quote. Don’t waste your time dealing with this nasty businessman who thrives and takes pride in taking advantage of customers, just go down the street a few feet to Jaydon Electronics and save the headache. I’m sure you will respond to this Fernando with one of your usual deflections. I will gladly continue the back in forth because treating customers like fools is a big pet peeve of mine.
I waited a while to write this review because I had mixed feelings about the whole process. The good: They repair speakers and there aren’t many shops left for this work. Love that they exist. Folks who do the repairs and work up front are usually friendly enough. The bad: I brought in some high end ($4k+ in the early 90’s) tower speakers with a bad tweeter. Without boring you with too many details, anything that went wrong was automatically blamed on me, I was yelled at for no reason with my kids in the store, and the end result was expensive and mediocre. They ended up replacing both tweeters with (assumed) no-brand tweeters; the shop either wouldn’t tell me or didn’t know what was used, and the whole process of killing any speaker resale value with this repair was about $500 out the door.
