Probably one of the biggest produce sections I've ever seen. Central Market has hands-down the most impressive produce department of any grocery store l've visited. The selection is enormous and beautifully displayed - row after row of vibrant, fresh vegetables, greens, herbs, radishes, bok choy, and so much more. It feels like stepping into a high-end farmer's market with incredible variety and top-notch quality. What really sets this store apart is the unique in-house educational mushroom growing exhibit. Right in the store, they have a climate-controlled display showing the full growing process for gourmet varieties like Lion's Mane (mild flavor, similar to crab meat) and Black Pearl (dense, meaty with a peppery aftertaste). Informative panels explain how they recreate forest floor conditions using mycelium bags, natural substrates, controlled humidity, and light - with harvests possible every 7-10 days once mature. It's fresh, fascinating, and a great touch that shows their commitment to quality and education. Everything here screams premium and fresh. If you're a food lover or just appreciate an exceptional grocery experience, Central Market is a must-visit. Highly recommend - five stars!

She had red hair…. she was the coolest! the friendliest cashier ever, so helpful and nice. really made us feel at home in the big city of austin! i will definitely be coming back! it’s so beautiful and colorful in the store. everything was fresh! the atmosphere was busy but it was still spacious for my sisters stroller! highly recommend:)))
It’s a nice big grocery shopping center! It’s huge and it has many food items and goods for cooking! They have some restaurants and bakeries inside the store so you really get to have variety of things! Many products are nice and fresh but it’s on a bit more expensive end. We bought a loaf of bread and it was sooo good! Love to get it again! Keep up the good work! Cheers 🥂

I visited Central Market recently and was genuinely impressed. Everything felt incredibly fresh and well-organized, which made shopping there such a pleasant experience. They carry a lot of premium products that you don’t usually find at a regular H-E-B, which I really appreciated. I loved the freshly baked sourdough they were making right on the spot, and the wine selection was surprisingly diverse. The cheese section was also amazing—tons of variety, and one of the friendly staff members even offered us a tasting when we couldn’t decide. Thanks to that, we found a really delicious cheese to bring home. Overall, it was such a fun and satisfying visit. I’ll definitely be going back!
