I contacted Certified Electricians to enquire about fitting a wired doorbell, after having issues with a wired system that was recommended and installed previously by another firm. David was quick to respond to my enquiry the next day, and very transparent about costs and provided advice on which doorbell camera system to go with based on my needs. Availability to book in with the company was good. The following week was when we agreed, and David arrived at the scheduled date and within the timeframe given. I am very happy with the work done, he was very professional and made sure the system was in good working order before he left (and the job was tidy too). I would recommend using Certified Electricians, and will be contacting them for any future electrical work I need doing around the house.
Replaced my consumer unit and installed electric oven. They used a cable for the oven that was way too small to cope with the wattage (fire hazard!) and the terminal connections were so loose they came out just by touching the cable. The consumer unit was inspected by another electrician who said the installation looked like a rush job - lots of bare copper and cables bent too tightly. UPDATE 25/11/2025: I'm not going to reply to this rant other than to correct some facts: 1) The previous oven was a much lower wattage and was installed many years before I moved in. 2) David continues to insist that a 1mm flex is suitable to attach a 3200W pyrolytic oven. I'm certain any other electrician would confirm this is not the case and is in fact incredibly dangerous. It was only by pure luck that I discovered this problem as I had to take the oven out since it wasn't sitting flush.
Very happy with my dealings with this firm. I needed ceiling lights replacing in a bathroom. They were helpful with advice on which lights would fit the standard. Very clear communications and easy booking, and on the day they were great. So good that I’ve now asked them to come back and do the same work in some rooms where it was slightly less urgent. Would recommend to anyone.
The guys arrived on time and completed the works to renew our 8 kitchen LED ceiling lights and upgrade a socket to one with USB chargers in too. They completed the work carefully and efficiently and with no fuss or mess. They will be my first port of call when we next need some work doing. Reasonable price too 👍🏻
David and the team were so helpful they made the project a breeze. I needed new track lights put up in a tricky space. Marlowe, the engineer who came to do the work, was punctual, friendly and did an amazing job – leaving no dust at all! I would definitely recommend them.
