I have used Ricardo many times over the years for dog training and he is by far the best trainer around! I’m pretty sure my Pitbull could be mistaken for a Golden Retriever at this point because he is so well mannered. Having young kids with large breed dogs can be especially challenging, but with Ricardo’s tools I can be confident my home is a safe place for both my dogs and my babies. Thank you Ricardo for all your help over the years. You are the best!

We sent our miniature schnauzer, Snowball, to Charlie Bar Dog Training while we were on vacation, and it was the best decision ever! She used to bark at people, had poor leash manners, and was reactive to the doorbell and strangers at home. After three weeks of “finishing school,” she came back calm, confident, and easy to communicate with. Now we can take her to the farmers market, out to eat on patios, and even to the dog park without any issues. The trainers also taught our whole family how to keep up the training, which has made a huge difference. We’re so grateful for the team at Charlie Bar — highly recommend them!

OMG!!! We’re have 3 female pups- 4 year old hound, 2 year old heeler mix, and 1 year old shepherd. The hound had been abused and the heeler and shepherd we took to avoid from going to a shelter. They were so unsocialized, anxious, and impulsive. After 1 too many dog fights - we found Charlie Bar!!! Godsend!!!! The hound and heeler spent 3 weeks with them- and came back different pups. My sweet hound is happy and playful again, and they are all getting along and following basic commands that are life-changers! I would not believe the change if I didn’t see it myself! I’m so grateful!! I couldn’t give up on these dogs - they just needed some confidence and time that I just didn’t have each day. Now I get to maintain with a few short sessions a day! My heart is full, and we owe it all to Ricky and his amazing team! Shout out to Amaya for loving my hound!!!

We’ve now worked with Ricardo twice for our current puppy (and once a few years ago for our previous dog who has since passed), and I honestly couldn’t recommend him more highly. This time around, we’ve had two sessions, one at Home Depot to work on leash walking, and one in our home. Everything he taught us made an immediate difference. Our nine-month-old puppy is like night and day on the leash. So much calmer, more focused, and enjoyable to walk. My husband was about to give up before the session, due to her complete lack of impulse control and he is now so happy to walk her. One of the best parts is that Ricardo gives you a complete system you can use for everything, not just walking. He sends links to all the tools he recommends, making it incredibly easy to purchase and start using them right away. Today we even tried out the bike pole he suggested, and it was fantastic. Ricardo really knows what he’s doing. He explains things clearly, works with both you and your dog, and makes sure you leave the session confident in what to do next. It’s such a relief to have that peace of mind knowing we’re on the right track. If you want a knowledgeable, patient, and effective trainer who gets real results, Ricardo is it.
