This place was a great find. The pizza was very good. Also looked liked a great place to dine in. Will be coming back soon.
Grew up going here as a kid 40 years ago. Over the years it has changed a little. The last time I had been was back in 2014 before just now. I can say from then till now the pizza has had one major change that I am not a huge fan of and that is the crust. The cheese and sauce they are still doing great. The pizza is still good by the way, but the crust has went down hill in a major way. I can tell it's also possibly because of a different oven they may be using. Overall I would still recommend going here because it is better than most of the pizza in the immediate area. They use to always take a long time but it was always worth it. I wish they would go back to that.
I have to say I was unimpressed with the pizza. The bottom was soggy even though there was only a hint of sauce. I’m sad to say it tasted like a Member’s Mark frozen pizza. Maybe next time it will be better if I dine in. Their Lasagna was good. I liked that it was saucy and had a good flavor. Very disappointed that my pastrami sandwich came with sauerkraut, when I clearly didn’t order a Reuben sandwich. However, when I called to let them know they offered to replace it and when I declined due to heavy traffic on Battlefield Blvd. They took my name and said I could get one free next time I come in. The salad was extremely fresh which was surprising. Since most restaurants serve salad as an afterthought. We ate it all! The absolute Star here is their Cheesecake. It is so smooth. Perfect flavor, not too sweet, just right. We got the pumpkin, which I have been making since I was 14, and theirs is better. We also go the Oreo cheesecake and my kids gobbled it all up! I have to say it’s a nice place just because the customer service is very good. I am not sorry I tried it out. It just probably won’t be a first pick unless I’m treating myself to a cheesecake. ****note**** I forgot to take photos until after the food was in the fridge for awhile.
Service was good — everyone was nice and tried to make things right — but the food experience just wasn’t it. Our pizza came out with a hair in it 😬. They did remake it, which I appreciate, but it took about an hour to get the new one. On top of that, our wings order was wrong. They didn’t charge us for the pizza, but we still got charged for the wings. Hopefully just an off night, but definitely not the best first impression.
We usually order and bring it home. We have not been disappointed! Crust is great, ingredients are a cut above the chains. We ordered extra toppings and for a little extra $, it was well worth it. They only accept cash, but have an ATM on site for $1.50. Surprise! They took the fee off the cost of the pizza. Now who does that except a local business taking care of their customers!
