I got a tattoo on the back of my hand, and I love how it looks! The staff are welcoming and inclusive, and clear about all shop policies. Joel did my tattoo — he’s extremely talented and has great energy. He’s one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. I highly recommend!
As a return customer, this place really blew me. On Thursday (09/18), I went in to switch out a hoop for a stud in my nose. I paid $110 for the stud plus a $10 switch out fee. Today (09/21), while washing my face with my hands only, the dome of the piercing popped off. I called in immediately to let them know and was put on hold for 15 minutes, only to be told to come in to the shop. At the shop, the receptionist, who was really kind and helpful, told me that the boss will give me a 20% discount. Be cautious: if you wash your face or simply do anything related to your face where you may touch your nose piercing, it may result in your piercing falling out.
Ali G. and Julia are always the sweetest every time I come in to get piercings. Ali is so professional and such an understanding human being. I trust her wholeheartedly to do my piercings. Getting pierced by her is like striking gold ! I got a 12G Lobe and the whole process was super seamless. Julia is a great asset to their FOH - always going above and beyond to help people, answer questions, and is super helpful with picking jewelry. I know I’m going to have a great time there when I see them. I’ve been coming to Chicago Tattoo and Piercing for a while and I will always recommend it to people. Thank you for the year or so of amazing work and customer service. I have found my people !
Wow—such a great experience! I’ll definitely be coming back. I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon to check out ear jewelry, and Ali was incredibly helpful. She took the time to walk me through the different styles available and helped me design a new jewelry setup. I already had four piercings on one ear and three on the other, and I wanted to refresh the look with new pieces. If you purchase jewelry, they offer to put it in for just $10, which I found super convenient. One thing I really appreciated was how transparent they were about pricing—they gave the highest possible estimate up front so there were no surprises. All the jewelry is high quality (14–18k gold or titanium), and for six new pieces, I spent around $300. Totally worth it for the quality and service. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone. The staff’s technical skills and knowledge are excellent, and their customer service is just as impressive. Whether it’s your first time or your twentieth time walking into a tattoo/piercing shop, they make you feel completely welcomed.
Alicia was amazing! I walked in with no appointment and got a single ear piercing, the first one by an actual piercer and not a Claire’s. What a world of difference. Alicia made me feel comfortable and heard. The pain dissipated within a day and now a few days later the piercing feels great. Can’t say thanks enough!
