The kids behind the counter stole $150 out of my girlfriends purse, she had asked the front desk if they had lockers so she could put her purse up while she skated. The kid said no but you can keep it back here. She keeps all her money facing the same way and organized, when we left we noticed the money was jumbled, left in the wrong spot and $150 short. Wouldn't recommend this for families.

Went to skate this weekend with some friends and had such a great time! Whitney, at the front desk was so kind, explained the homeschool activities and skating academy to me, and even let me know about a little rookies program coming up next week. Definitely going to register my kids! She also told me about the Dallas Stars practice this week; I went and got to meet some of the Dallas Stars today! So exciting!

MANAGEMENT SUCKS|ZERO STARS the new manager is awful. Between never being there and having teens run the place, it's next to nothing. I've seen bathrooms that are nicer than that place. Manager Whitney is awful to employees. Between over scheduling and not training people. I'm surprised this place is still open. Cops come about once a day due to criminal activity. They have no remorse for medical issues. For example a old man fell of the bleachers and cut his knee open. Management went oh well. From inside sources management has female teens working until closing alone. There have been multiple times when I've seen young women sitting behind the counter at 11 o'clock in an area with criminals and homeless hanging around. It's absolutely insane. My honest hope is Whitney get fired and that the employees get treated better and they get more safety. I don't want to send my kid there anymore. It's cruel to so many people. And it's a disgrace to the Dallas Star name. Hockey games aren't starting until 12 am sometimes and they over schedule the teams too.

New management here is a joke. Our men's league team signed up for a season with games on Thursdays and Sundays — as we had done the past 2 years. Then they scheduled the first two games for late Friday nights and promised it would go back to normal after that. Two games in, they suddenly said all games would now be Friday and Saturday nights. Total bait and switch. We told them we couldn’t do those nights — it’s not what we signed up for — and they still demanded $750 for ice time before they’d even let us sign up for the next season. So we paid it just to play again, and wouldn't you know it, they changed the schedule again back to Friday/Saturday just days before the season was supposed to start. The ice here is one huge puddle and management straight-up lies to your face. Hockey is expensive, take your money somewhere that respects it's skaters.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The StarCenter in Farmers Branch is the definition of ‘run-down.’ The ice feels like it hasn’t been resurfaced since the early 2000s and the locker rooms smell like a wet sock left in a gym bag. The place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned properly in years — sticky floors, trash bins overflowing, and bathrooms that make you want to hold it until you get home. As for the programs — laughably disorganized. Coaches act like they’re doing you a favor by showing up, and the scheduling is a total mess. You’ll sign up for a session only to find out it’s been canceled or delayed with no notice. The figure skating program is treated like an afterthought compared to hockey, and it shows in the lack of support, resources, and respect. Honestly, this rink is a disgrace to the Dallas area. There are far better rinks around — don’t waste your time, money, or sanity here. If mediocrity had a home, it would be the StarCenter in Farmers Branch.
