Usually Chop is attentive and responsive. We got to Chop at 10:00PM but no one took our order until 10:20PM. The hostess out front was sweet and took us to our table. Still, I had to flag someone down multiple times to order food and to pay the bill at the end. We had Hanan as our server tonight. She took our orders quickly but then disappeared. In the end, I spent 20 minutes looking around for help, I just wanted to pack the rest of our food to-go and pay my bill. No one offered desserts either. We completely forgot about dessert, too turned off by the incredibly slow service. Food was amazing. The rest of the staff were great. Even in the end Hanan didn’t bring us the bill, she sent someone else - but before he reached our table we already got dressed and walked over to the bar to pay. We also asked for the 6 oz of Shiraz red wine but was given the 9 oz. Again I was too disappointed in the service to make the correction and paid it anyways. Our dinner was just too long. The night seemed to drag on with no end in sight. We’ve been to the Mississauga and Vaughan Chop locations multiple times and loved their service.
My husband and I enjoyed dinner tonight at Chop Steakhouse Downtown. It was our first time and we were pleased! Each dish was delicious, full of flavour, and satisfying. We enjoyed the onion soup, the wedge salad, the halibut, the smoked ribeye, and the creme brulee. Fantastic service from Vlad! Thank you for being attentive and the great suggestions!
I firstly want to say we had an INCREDIBLY service from Chris! He was amazing so personable and always on top!! Food was incredible, the drinks, the ambience. But what truly made the new years experience unforgettable for us was how nice the whole Staff was, including David he was always checking on us! Truly thankful for this amazing experience at Chop♥️🥹
We had a spectacular boys gathering for steak at Chop. Our server Lena was knowledgeable, fun and entertaining. Had a 13 oz ribeye cooked medium done just right with Bernaise sauce. Goat cheese salad was sweet and creamy. Folonori red by glass was a nice complement. Toffee ice cream was ok. Ambiance is nice and easygoing. Good place to go with friends.
We came here on Thanksgiving, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Toronto. My friend has a severe seafood allergy, and both Supervisor David and Chef Savio went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe and perfect for us. Our server Cess was absolutely wonderful, attentive, warm, and so knowledgeable. We completely trusted their recommendations, and they truly delivered. The steak dinner was outstanding, exactly what we were hoping for. This place will definitely be seeing more of us. Highly recommended to anyone looking for excellent food, service, and care.
