A really great spot for a big group! Great atmosphere and service. I didn’t love the food or drinks but my friends did. They especially liked the fried chicken. The only thing is that they often didn’t bring out the food together (1-2 plates at a time) so it made it hard to eat as a group. We were around 10 people so every time a dish came, we’d eat it in 1min then have to wait for the next dish to come.

Chotto Matte was amazing! The food was delicious, the atmosphere and music were great, and the host and entire team made us feel very welcome. Special thanks to Daniela, our server — the best! We’ll definitely be back.

We came here for a work lunch with friends visiting from the U.S., so convenience and efficiency were key. We chose a spot close to everyone’s offices, right at Bay & Front, a corner I pass all the time but somehow never noticed had Chotto Matte. Only after sitting down did I realize the name comes from the Japanese phrase meaning “just a moment,” which turned out to be very fitting. The interior immediately stands out : high ceilings, bold red drapery, and a striking design. Once you turn the corner, the space opens up even more and feels surprisingly expansive. While dinner prices are on the higher side (100+ per person), the lunch set menus are very reasonably priced, ranging from the mid to higher double digits. This makes it a great option for business lunches: polished setting, comfortable atmosphere, and excellent efficiency. Dishes came out quickly, and the menu even highlights a 45-minute lunch option covering ordering, eating, and paying which is ideal for tight schedules. We ordered the black cod set and the beef cheek set, and both were very well executed. The cod was lightly sweet and delicate, while the beef cheek was tender and rich. Each set comes with sushi, salad, small side dishes, soup, a main course, and a starch, making the portions generous — most men might not even finish everything. Overall, a strong recommendation for anyone working in the Financial District looking for a proper, efficient, and high-quality work lunch in a refined setting.

Shout out to NG, the manager — super professional and friendly service! The food was amazing; the Peruvian-Japanese fusion was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. We had the edamame, Chotto ceviche, Chotto Caesar, spicy tuna Hako roll, Pollo Picante, BBQ Huacatay broccoli, Salmon Anticucho, and for dessert, the passion fruit crème brûlée with lychee and coconut ice mochi, plus the chocolate Nutella churros. Everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this spot — great food, great service, great vibe.
