Pronto loves City Paws! Both daycare and grooming services are top notch. The staff is super caring and responsive. They’re caring community members and very professional. We’re so lucky to have it in our neighborhood!

I’m sharing this experience so other dog owners can make informed decisions. Our dog is a well-trained Golden Retriever with no history of aggression or behavioral issues. On his daycare day, he was briefly brought into the main play area while on a leash, which caused him to bark. Instead of attempting a leash-free reintroduction or any alternative approach, staff immediately removed him and placed him alone in a separate park for approximately six hours. During that time: • He had no access to water • He had no toys or enrichment, despite my direct request when I called twice asking if they could give him a ball or a toy • He received no meaningful interaction with other dogs • Staff declined to try any alternative methods, stating that the trainer/behavior specialist would not be on-site until the following week What was especially concerning is that while he had no drinking water available for the entire stay, there was a mop bucket left in the room with him, which raises serious safety and sanitation concerns, as he could have attempted to drink from it. This experience was particularly troubling given that the facility advertises: • Structured play and enrichment • Daily 1-on-1 enrichment • Collaboration with dog behavior experts • Breaks with access to water and rest None of those services were provided, yet we were still charged for a full daycare day. We were able to observe everything live on the facility’s camera system, and ultimately my husband had to leave work early to pick our dog up because we were so uncomfortable with what we were seeing. The following day, our dog became acutely ill and required hospitalization. While I cannot definitively say what caused his illness, the prolonged isolation, stress, lack of water, and unsafe environment are deeply concerning. After raising these concerns, the facility did issue a refund. However, they never asked how our dog was doing and simply stated that our business relationship was over, even though he was hospitalized throughout the weekend. Based on our experience, the care provided did not align with how services are advertised, and I would strongly encourage other pet parents to ask very specific questions about how dogs are handled if issues arise.

Everyone at City Paws (Lyndale location) is SO helpful and kind. Interacting with staff, you just know that they truly care for their animals. I was super weird and specific about what I wanted for my Bernedoodle groom (wanted to just clean up my fluffy boi), and Norah was so attentive and responsive to my requests; no questions asked. I couldn’t recommend them more!

My pups, Reyna and Boka, loveee it here. They are obsessed with Cody and Becca. I really appreciate Jesse, their training and advice has been extremely helpful. We’ve been taking Reyna here since June 2021, and Boka since we got him summer of 2023. My husband and I travel a lot for work and it’s been really comforting to have a place my pups feel safe and have fun at.

City paws is a home away from home for my dog Bruce. They have services for all our needs. Grooming is fantastic and daycare and boarding are fantastic!
