He replies promptly to requests, gives a heads up when he is on the way, and shows up exactly at the agreed time. Most importantly, he is the most honest person I have worked with in more than 20 years. Pricing is reasonable, service is excellent, and I cannot recommend Rob and this company highly enough.
Three times, my experience with Suburban Heating and Cooling has exceeded my expectations. The first time I found them as a quick search, my heat went out on a Saturday morning. He was here at 9am that day to fix it. Kind, prompt, and knowledgeable. He explained what he was doing, what he thought about my old furnace, and we agreed to keep fixing it. Second was a routine cleaning and this last time was on the verge of a break down. They fit me in that day. Same man, same excellent service. When my furnace finally does need to be replaced, I will call them no question!

When I needed to replace my water heater, which unexpectedly required some adjustments to my furnace, Rob coordinated seamlessly with my plumber to ensure everything was handled efficiently and correctly. His expertise and clear communication made a potentially stressful situation straightforward. Additionally, when my neighbor raised concerns about a possible leak from my HVAC system, Rob promptly came out for a thorough assessment, putting everyone’s mind at ease with his professional evaluation. Overall, City & Suburban provides knowledgeable, prompt, professional, and reliable service every time—I highly recommend them for all of your HVAC needs.
Can’t recommend these guys enough. Rob came out the next day after me calling and quickly diagnosed the issue and was fully transparent on options and pricing. I decided on a full replacement due to age/status of the AC unit so Sam and Eddie came out two days later and took care of the entire project quickly. They were communicative and professional the entire time and provided me with all the info I needed. I’ve had experiences with other service providers in Chicagoland and can confidently say I’ll be using Rob, Sam and Eddie for all my HVAC needs going forward.
I had a 2-stage furnace and thermostat installed by Eddie and Mike in my condo's custom utility closet. Installation was challenging and they professionally, patiently, and expertly completed the job.
