Color Me Mine in Norfolk is such a fun and welcoming place. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely knowledgeable about a wide variety of painting techniques. They take the time to explain everything clearly and are always happy to help, no matter your skill level. Anyone can do it — truly. I know this because I’m not an artist at all, and I still walked away with something I was proud of. The environment is relaxed and encouraging, which makes the whole experience enjoyable rather than intimidating. Whether you’re going with friends, family, or just looking for a creative way to unwind, this place makes it easy and fun for everyone.

A small group of us can here together (8 ladies) and we all had an amazing experience!! Lots of ceramics to choose from. The staff gives you as much or as little information and attention that you want. We have decided we would love to have another group activity here in the future! I have added before and after photos of the piece I painted.

I took my daughter here for her 12th birthday with 2 friends (and my toddler). The staff were wonderful - helpful & friendly. The girls had a great time. There are sooo many pieces to choose from at all price points. Their masterpieces were ready for pick up in 7 days & looked awesome. We'll definitely be back!

We held my daughter’s 8-year-old birthday party here earlier today and had a wonderful experience! The upstairs is a dedicated party space with fun and colorful designs on the walls and plenty of seating. We set a budget and kids chose from a wide variety of pottery pieces and paint colors. What set the experience apart was the excellent help from Adam. He was attentive throughout the party, helping the kids squeeze paint onto their palettes, picking up plates after cake time, and complimenting the kids on their creations. We are excited to pick up their pieces in a few weeks and see each person’s creativity come to life. Thank you to Adam and his team for making this an easy, enjoyable experience! The kids had a blast trying something new!

I recently visited this shop with my children, and I’m still not quite sure how I feel about the whole experience. I was looking for a plain plate, which they do not have somehow, regardless of being advertised. The pricing is also strange, my kids picking two items of the same size with a $20 price difference. The little ones had a wonderful time, and the employee who helped us was very kind and attentive. However, the music playing in the store was rather odd and not very suitable for children. When I mentioned it, the employee explained they weren’t allowed to change the station. When we picked up our finished pieces, I noticed a few spots where the paint had shifted, and I was told this happened because my children had used “too much paint.” I didn’t think that was a fair response, especially since this is clearly an activity meant for kids, and we had not been told to limit our paint usage. I later spoke with the manager on the phone, and I must say, their tone was far less pleasant than the young person who had assisted us in the store. All in all, we did enjoy the outing, but those few issues left me rather disappointed with both the final result and the customer service. I was told that I should have read the except which says “no refunds” on the bottom, after the purchase.
