Companio Bakery à Ancoats, Manchester, propose du pain frais fait maison chaque jour et une gamme de pâtisseries alléchante. I went there a month ago, it was recommended to me by a friend. The pastries and sourdough in this place are amazing! One of the best bakeries in town hands down! Cannot recommend enough. Also the lovely girl who served me was the sweetest girl ever. I wanted to leave a tip for her when I payed with card but she said they don't do tips. So I just wanted to leave a review to appreciate the amazing staff!
Everything was delicious! We tried five types of pastries and the coffee was excellent. The décor is beautiful and the seating area is spacious.

I mistook potatoes for sweet potatoes and accidentally ended up choosing the bakery’s signature bun, the Madbrød (£6.6). I recently visited Companion this morning and tried their croissant and seeded bread. The croissant was absolutely perfect—light, flaky, and buttery, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that rivals those from the best Parisian bakeries. The seeded bread was equally impressive, with a delightful crunch from the seeds and a soft, airy interior. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sandwiches or on its own with a bit of butter. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I'll definitely be coming back for more of their delicious baked goods!
Beautiful bakery. Feels authentic from the offset and the fact you can see the open kitchen is a bonus. I love the variability in the baked goods. We had the cardamon roll which was CHEFS KISS perfection. The banana cake was delicious and the olives in the focaccia made it! The flaky almond croissant with the delicious filling was to die for. Coffees were great, sad there weren’t any syrups though! Friendly staff and lovely (but limited) seating outside. Don’t be put off by the queue, it’s fast moving.
