New to the area so we were looking for a new gym. The tour of the place looked solid and your guide Kamil was very helpful answering all our questions. Got a new member!
Usage: It's a cheap gym, so you get what you pay for. That said, between 4:00 and 7:00pm on weekdays (and other times, but rush hour is important here) the trainers reserve equipment they aren't using with their clients so sometimes they use 1 machine and reserve another. And that other sits there and you can't use it. It does get busy but as long as you go during off-peak hours you can access most machines with little delay. It's a big space and they have lots to do. A lot of it is focused on upper body only, though. Atmosphere: They play government propaganda news stations including FOX News, FOX Business, reality TV shows, Spongebob, and sports on the TVs. Not my cup of tea. The music is bad remixes of Tears for Fears, Pink Floyd, and sometimes some good hiphop--but I listen to my own music. Occasionally they will play Spectrum news, and that's fine. Machines: Machines break, of course, but these machines stay broken at this gym, sometimes for more than a week. There's only 1 butterfly machine, only 1 hip ab/adduction machine, and only 1 roman chair type machine for back exercises. There are tons of free weights and usually enough benches to get most of these things done. Classes: I've only been to a Hatha Flow yoga class, but it was really good! I will go back.
Awesome gym, more spacious than the other one. A lot more clean as well. A lot of equipment for a non-premium gym, only thing is that I wish they had a hack squat machine that went over the shoulders. Other than that amazing gym.
Another update as of December 16th: The General manager, Brian Runion, reached out to me on December after not hearing from him since December 9th, coincidentally this was after I had included his name in my review. His reason for reaching out to me was NOT to help me cancel my membership though. In his emails, he’s requested the name of the person that I spoke with when I came in and any email traffic from the cancellation. This was MONTHS ago when I came in so of course I don’t remember the person’s name who I spoke with when I came in. In regards to the “email traffic”, I clearly expressed to him that clearly they have a broken process in regards to their cancellation policy and I shouldn’t be punished for their negligence for not following whatever protocol they have. I asked him what is he going to do about this situation? Here it is December 16th and I still have yet to receive a response back from him since the 13th. This place has charged me at least $200 since I’ve requested my membership to be cancelled. It shouldn’t take this much to have a situation rectified. Update on this review: The General Manager, Brian Runion, reached out to me on December 8th inquiring about this review. I emailed him back on December 8th, no response. I emailed him AGAIN on December 9th asking what is he going to do about my situation and STILL NO RESPONSE! I wholeheartedly stand by my review. When they had a chance to make things right, they chill choose not to do so. I encourage anyone who reads this to be aware. Find a gym where the company values you. This is NOT the place. This place has bad business practices. I attempted to cancel my membership with them over four months ago and they are still charging me!! I called the number online, they told me that I needed to go into the gym to do it in person. I go into the gym, that representative told me that I needed to call some customer service number. All it’s been is a run around and guess what?? They STILL HAVENT CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP AND THEY ARE STILL CHARGING MY ACCOUNT!!! I WARN YOU ALL, DO NOT COME HERE!!! I WILL BE REPOSTING THIS EVERYDAY UNTIL CRUNCH DECIDES TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS
Great gym with plenty of space and a wide range of equipment. Rarely have to wait to use anything. Staff are friendly and helpful. Could be a bit cleaner, especially the showers, but overall a solid place to work out.
