I’ve gone to a lot of gems over the years and we really like the crunch gym locations in Plano. This location is great, it’s one of the larger ones in the area, plenty of yoga classes, and.20 squat/deadlift platforms. Haiden is amazing, super friendly and helpful.
Sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before signing up. I initially visited this Crunch Fitness location only to use a friend’s free guest pass. Because I didn’t have my ID with me, staff advised me to sign up for what was described as a free trial, with a $1 charge for verification. I was told that if I chose to continue after the trial, an annual fee and monthly dues would apply. At no point during enrollment was I informed of a 90-day commitment. In July, once I realized my work schedule would not allow me to use the gym, I went in person to cancel the membership and was told by the customer service representative that my membership was canceled, which I understood satisfied the in-person cancellation requirement. I also sent an email in July requesting cancellation and explaining the situation. Despite both the in-person cancellation request and written email, charges have continued through today. I contacted corporate and did not receive any response, and I ultimately had to dispute the charges with my financial institution. My advice to anyone considering joining: Ask very clearly about minimum commitment terms Get cancellation confirmation in writing Do not rely only on verbal explanations - especially from front desk people. The gym itself is fine, but the signup and cancellation process was unclear and very frustrating. To the management - please get the staff trained and please be responsive to the emails.
Absolutely love Crunch Gym, but this location is by far the best. The gym is always clean, bathrooms always clean and the gym doesn’t smell like sweat. All the employees here are always willing to help and answer question’s. Front desk staff are always welcoming, greeting you when you walk in and leave. Huge shout out to Alex Hope. She was so amazing that I actually mistook her for a manager. Hey crunch, you got an amazing employee in her. Promote her!
very new equipment, is there massage chairs are first-rate. Did fight camp with Kristyn and it was awesome, exactly what I was looking for. Spin classes with Claire and Kendall can you get a full core and leg workout to the majoring class is awesome! I drive an extra 15 minutes just to do the boxing class with lee!
UPDATE 4/29: My friends and I decided to sign up for the gym after our trial day yesterday. It was a Monday and the gym was super packed, and we did have trouble finding empty equipment to use. However, I felt super motivated when doing cardio here because everyone around me looked so fit which made me keep going. I also tried doing some free weights. It’s going to be challenging to make the gym a habit for me but I really enjoy the vibe here. One thing to note is that we noticed the West Plano location is open 24 hours on weekdays, but this location is not. They also don’t have a Crunch-O-Meter tracker on the app to check how busy the gym is. Maybe that will come with future updates as the gym gets bigger. ——————————— After my recent terrible experience as a potential member at 24 Hour Fitness in East Plano, I felt unmotivated to sign up for a gym with my friends. However, one friend has been searching for a new gym since he recently moved to Texas, so we decided to check out Crunch Fitness. I must say, I was amazed by the giant facility. We toured a few gyms this week to compare amenities, and Crunch Fitness has everything the others offer, and MUCH MORE. My friends enjoy lifting weights, and the other gyms in the area have only a couple of racks or are too expensive for our budget. Crunch Fitness has SO MANY racks, free weights, and different sections that focus on various workout interests. Their cardio section look nice, and I love the butt working section! The amenities that stood out to me the most were the ride cycle classes and hot yoga. Those weren't offered at other nearby gyms, so seeing them available here was a pleasant surprise. I also value honesty above everything, and Carter (who gave us the tour) actually explained all the fine print fees that people usually complain about ($60 maintenance fee and $2.25 monthly processing fee). Despite those extra fees, the gym still costs less than $35/month with their highest plan, Peak Results. Also, Carter explained the cancellation policy on how you cannot cancel after 7 days, and before 90 days, during the tour, so that we won't be shocked if that comes up later. The facility is also super clean and well-maintained, although I don't know if that's because this location has only been open for 96 days. My friends and I are still debating, but this gym is definitely my top choice. They have multiple locations in Dallas (especially West Plano and Frisco, where I work), which would make it easier to visit with no excuses. I really liked the facility tour, and we'll probably go back this week for our trial day to check out how busy it gets during peak hours (6–7 PM).
