Michael has created something wonderful and so needed by our community. I highly recommend DMT for anyone looking to feel good by healthy means, but it is particularly valuable for anyone struggling with anxiety depression. He cultivates a judgement free space and tools for reconnecting to ourselves through dance and our voices. No words do the experience justice. I have actually adjusted my work schedule so that I can make it routinely. If you are reading this I hope to meet you at a class soon.
Have been going to DMT since it started 12 years ago! Love every class, Michael is a great teacher and respectful person who shares his love for mediation and dancing in a wonderful way and in a safe space. I have brought countless friends to DMT over the years and they would all say the same: the Love it!
I came into DMT feeling tired and down, but left feeling totally rejuvenated! I was shocked at the quick difference in my mood and energy. I went to DMT years ago at my favorite yoga studio. It was so unique and freeing. Michael is so passionate about it and making sure everyone feels safe and included. It supports free expression with clear boundaries. I attended a special event more recently and it was fun and full of interesting people. It is a great way to make new friends who are open minded and accepting. I highly recommend trying it. You will have your own unique experience. That is the gift of it. Not trying to be like anyone else. Space to be yourself.
Michael is a wonderful teacher! I did probably more than a dozen Dance Meditations while I was living in the Detroit area. He creates a beautiful and safe space for individuals (and couples) to explore their inner worlds through the body, sound, and finally meditation. When I was practicing regularly, I felt much more free and my “dance” became much more free and expressive like the cliche videos of Woodstock ’69. I recommend Dance MT to anyone in the metro area who wants a good workout and could stand to lose a few pounds of emotional weight!
