Had an amazing time with these bike rentals, we rode along the coast which was excellent and took the on a short RV trip as well. The bikes are great and the people are helpful and friendly.
Run down rental equipment from a guy who is more interested in talking with other merchants in shopping center than taking care of his bikes or his customers. Squeaky equipment that has not been tuned, chains that fall off, wheels that wobble.
Very rude and grumpy person, no hello, nothing and instead of just renting us bikes he lectured us about everything and kept asking questions, even questioning the ability of our kid to ride a bike at all. Then he only wanted to rent the bikes to us with extra after hour pricing at 36$/person because in his opinion 2hours weren’t enough time to ride bikes at all…there are many other places that rent out bikes with friendly people and better rates and bikes. If you want to be treated really bad, that’s your place to spend your money… We chose not to support such behavior!
Ill put a 5 star to support this local business. beach cruiser bike was a bit rusty but it was totally adequate for my easygoing ride with a 6 year old. We had a blast on the Ballona jetty and exploring Marina del rey. The elderly gentlemen who was manning the rental desk (not Daniel) but was working there part time "helping a friend out." He was interesting but very friendly. He should receive atleast a little bit of basic troubleshooting training. Just a small constructive criticism to the business owners. He could not remove training wheels from a kids bike & directed me to REI to fix a loose chain that was popping off. He stated he was not comfortable or able to do it himself. Other than that, good experience. Cheap and easy parking $2 for 2 hours. My honest rating would be 3 stars, but since it is a local business with an absolutely optimal location i will post a 5 star. 9$ per hour and charge per 15 min increments. surcharge for credit card.
Great kind service. The road to the bike road is very conveniently close, making it a pleasant and seamless transition. And, always offers a bike helmet. However, some things are left unchecked when picking up the bike such as: the air pressure in the tire, bike seat is very loose, no bell. If you are going for a long bike ride just be sure to have a checklist for these importance things and the staff will take care of it. Happy riding!
