I wanted to update my review as the company has since been in touch and offered a full refund, which I appreciate. While the clean itself didn’t meet my expectations on the day, I do want to acknowledge how professionally the situation was handled afterwards. They were receptive to feedback, communicated respectfully, and resolved the issue in a positive way. Although the service wasn’t the right fit for me this time, I appreciate the way they took responsibility and prioritised customer care.
Extremely disappointing experience. We paid $300 for a “deep clean”, yet none of the agreed work was completed. Surfaces and cupboard doors were still dirty, with visible fingerprints and coffee stains exactly the same as before the clean. This is not what a deep clean looks like. If you are offering this type of service, you should have professional cleaners who can actually deliver what is promised. We even provided photos, and it’s very clear that the cleaning was not done properly. Unfortunately, after reading other Google reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident. We came home expecting a properly cleaned space and instead had to clean ourselves because we had guests coming over. That is completely unacceptable for a paid service.
Deeply disappointed — and honestly, feel completely misled. We booked a “deep clean” and came home to a house that looked untouched from top to bottom. No mopping. No wiping. No dusting. Nothing. If someone actually “cleaned” this place, there was zero evidence of it. We were told the job would take around 4 hours. Instead, the cleaners left after 2, and it suddenly made sense when we walked back in — the house was left in a condition that would have been flat-out rejected if we were there to inspect after the clean They also push a “money back guarantee” on their website, which is completely untrue. We had to argue and chase just to get 80% back — and honestly, I wouldn’t have paid one cent for what we received, because nothing was delivered. In my opinion, this was a textbook case of overpromise, underdeliver, and then dodge accountability. Absolutely would not recommend — look elsewhere.
Stephen and his colleague were amazing. They arrived early and were here all day and did not stop. Thank you for such a great job. So professional and so polite. Dash & Shine is such a professional outfit. From the very first phone call to very last they were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and very reasonably priced. Maggie did an EXCELLENT job in the granny flat we moved out of. Maggie did an exit clean for us and we were so so so impressed with her level of detail and care. We needed the whole day to move all our stuff out of the house and booked her for 6pm, we were impressed that Dash and Shine were open to booking a clean so late on a Saturday night. Maggie worked so hard, and we will be keen to book again for any cleaning services we may need in the future. Thank you to Dash and Shine & especially Maggie for making our moving out experience smooth and for providing such a stellar service.
