Highly recommend this place! All the employees were really nice and professional. The whole process was so efficient and quick. I was so surprised at how quickly they got new tires on my vehicle and had me out the door!
I scheduled an appointment to install my tires and get an alignment service. They sent me a text message to let them know when I was on my way and when I got there. However, once I got there, I had to wait half an hour on a line where most people did not have an appointment. AND, they told me that the guy who did the alignment was not there today. Why do you promise services that you clearly cannot perform?
I brought my van that has after market wheels. Shortly after install of my new tires, the bolts on the driver wheel became so loose while driving it was causing the wheel to wobble, and I could take the lug nuts out with my fingers. Initially I suspected they forgot to torque the wheel. The next day, it happened again. I had to have it towed to a mechanic and they took all wheels off, and discovered the hub centric rings that stabilize the aftermarket wheels were not reinstalled on the front end. I am very fortunate that I did not get in an accident. While discount did credit me 200.00, and put the rings on the wheels, it took me coming back and explaining everything. And the manager initially tried to tell me that the rings not being on there would not cause this issue. I advised him that the mechanic did not even want to release my van to me because it’s a safety concern without the rings. (Which even a simple google search confirms that it’s very unsafe). While I am pleased that the manager fixed the situation, I still find it concerning that he was not at all worried about his technicians mistake and the inconvenience and safety risks it put me in. The entire time, it was clear he did not understand the gravity of the situation. If you have after market wheels, I highly encourage you to be thorough with instructions and ensuring these guys get your wheels on correctly.
It’s a discount store so you have to factor that in, it’s in the name. But two instances at the store has me looking elsewhere. The first was when I replaced both tires on the right side of the vehicle. Since it’s better to have similar tread depths on the same axis, I asked them to swap the front new tire onto the back so the back axis had the new tires. But because one of the back two tires was at 2/32 they wouldn’t swap because they don’t service below 3/32. I wasn’t asking to service, just to swap. They even agreed it’s better for the vehicle to have two new tires on back axis but “store policy” prohibits from doing what’s best for the vehicle and customer. The 2nd instance was replacing a tire where I said I’d keep and dispose of the tire myself. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, they placed the old tires unprotected directly onto the back interior seats. Unreal. I have a blanket in the back and shocked they didn’t even wrap in plastic. This really makes me question coming back.
Great fast and professional service. I ordered my new tires on line. They have been delivered in few hours and I got a call from the store and time to get them installed the same day. I got my new tires and alignment in less than 2 hours. Everything was just as I expected and I am so glad I chose Discount Tire for solving this issue with my car. The entire team was working as well synchronized machine. Thank you.
