My gf bought run flat tires and an alignment. We left the vehicle there and received a call from the manager at approximately 2:30 to let us know the results of the alignment check. We said to go head and do the alignment. I asked when it will be done and did not say we were in a hurry. He promised 3:30. It's 3:55 pm and it's still up on the rack. I would have preferred to wait at home which is why I dropped it off. Don't over promise and under-deliver.
I don’t even know where to start. I went to Discounted Tires to get new tires and everything started off great; the price was solid and they got the job done pretty quick. The issue started when I got a call from Nick saying my rims were dented. He sent me a picture and quoted me $400 to fix it. I told him multiple times that I couldn’t afford that and wouldn’t be doing the service. Even after saying no several times, he kept pushing new prices and offers, which made me really uncomfortable. Then he wanted to put on the spare tire, but I told him no because I was driving to South Florida and obviously a spare wouldn’t make that trip. He checked it anyway, told me it wouldn’t make it (which I had literally just said), and still tried to sell me the rim repair. After saying no about eight times, he finally gave up and had me sign a waiver — which I understood was for liability. He also told me my tire would be flat by the time I got to my destination (it wasn’t). When I arrived to pick up my car, he still tried to sell me the rim, dropping the price from $400 to $50. At that point, I just wanted to leave. The pressure was ridiculous. I ended up getting the rim fixed elsewhere for $80 , but worth it just to avoid being pressured nonstop. So heads up: they’ll definitely try to upsell you hard, even after you’ve said no multiple times.
I had a nail in my tire and took it here on a recommendation. They greeted me at my vehicle before I even went inside, everyone was very friendly and professional, and I was able leave my vehicle with them in no time. They gave me recommendations on where I could eat close by while I waited and they finished with it earlier than they had predicted. The most amazing part is that they didn't charge me! I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing services and I'll absolutely be returning for any other vehicle needs I have in the future. (It's also one of the cleanest mechanic shops I've ever been in, and I used to work in one)
I brought my 2018 Subaru Impreza Sport to Discount Tire for two new tires, a balance & rotation, and a full alignment. After the service, I immediately started hearing clunking noises over bumps that weren’t there before. It felt unsafe, and I assumed something in my suspension had failed. The alignment report they gave me showed they couldn’t fully correct the alignment. The person who gave me the paper and explained it said the parts of the alignment that could not be corrected meant that a part was worn or damaged. Based on this, I spent $195 out of my own pocket on a new lower control arm, and installed it myself, thinking the bushing was bad. Even after that, the clunking continued. Eventually, I found that the top strut mount bolt was loose — something that should never happen after an alignment. I torqued it properly, and the clunking immediately stopped. The whole issue was due to poor attention to detail from the techs who worked on my car. I trusted them to do a basic alignment and now I’m out time, money, and confidence in their service. If I hadn’t known how to do my own mechanical work, I’d probably still be driving around with that noise — or worse, paying a shop hundreds more to find it. Be careful. Double-check everything after an alignment here.
I can’t believe I’m going out of my way to write a review for a tire shop. But they certainly warrant it! I was hesitant going to a chain when needing a flat tire fixed. I went to Reddit and various Facebook forums looking for recommendations. To my major surprise everyone kept recommending discount tire. I’ve been burned time and again as we all have form chain places like this. But I trusted the process and decided to come in. Sure enough these guys are rock stars! I had a nail in my one tire and the pointed my attention to my other two tires that needed changing. They had clear tools and guidelines to help me make informed decisions. They didn’t push then most expensive tires or options They actually wanted to help me. The patched the one tire that had. Avail and guided me to two new tires. Which I knew I needed. Got a great deal and was treated incredibly well. They genuinely wanted to and were happy to help me. No schemes. No upselling. No shady tactics. Just good ole fashioned customer service. I must also add that shortly after less than two weeks after I got another nail in my tire. They helped me with the warranty and were able to replace it for almost nothing. I was beyond surprised and happy these guys are above and beyond! Big shout out to Victor and Nick. Who helped me both times and made this an easier!
