We pretty much just asked for a de-shedding brush/bath and a trim around her grinch paws and by her back side since it can get really fluffy. They ended up trimming up her ears and around her tummy too, which was fine, I don’t care. It was more of the fact that it looked quite choppy.. you can see exactly where the scissors came and went around her ears hind legs. Her ears don’t seem to match in length or trim and her feet were trimmed unevenly too. She’s still cute as ever and hair grows back so it’s no big deal at the end of the day but I’m just disappointed because we spent a good amount for a very DIY-looking cut. I do want to give some grace because this is my dog’s first time at a professional groomer. She is a little skittish around new people (we rescued her this summer) but she is never aggressive and is usually pretty tolerant of her paws and ears being touched. That being said, While I don’t think her behavior would have gotten in the way of a hair cut, I can’t say for sure since I wasn’t there. Overall, the staff were all very kind and professional and she came back to us nice and clean! We probably won’t be going back for any trims in the future though. Who knows, maybe the grooming world has been infiltrated by doodle/poodle work so they aren’t used to her type of hair anymore haha. Just wanted to give my feedback from our experience!
I love Doggy Daze! The staff is friendly & professional. Melissa is great with my little Yorkie Shitzu, Yuki. Gives her a perfect cut everytime.
This groomer is new to us, when I brought my Poodle in to be bathed and groomed she was looking like a Hot Mess! When she was all done was was Beautiful, I will be bringing my 2 Bernadoodles into Doggy Daze- great people working there! I Highly Recommend them!
I just brought my 6 month puppy in for his first hair cut. He has been trimmed, but not a full cut. I was really hoping is hair could have remained a little longer, but i know all four legs were pretty matted. I knew the legs would have to be shaved pretty thin since it was so tight, but i was wishing the body could have been a little bit longer because his coat was so soft, thick and nice. I guess it might have looked too weird to have a big difference. He looks super cute, i’m just not used to it. I’m sure it’ll grow out pretty fast plus it’s so hot right now. He probably feels much better. I made another appt in 10 weeks, Which they suggested to keep him combed out and now I won't have to go so short anymore. They are very nice. It was very quick and super Clean inside. He came out excited! These are my before and after pictures of my puppy.
I’ve taken my Great Pyrenees (97 lbs) to Doggy Daze Gilbert several times, and I’m always happy with the results. She comes back clean, fluffy, and smelling fabulous. All the details of what I ask for are taken care of, and the groomers do a great job of tidying up the problem areas and shaping her coat. Both office staff and groomers have been friendly and ready to help with any questions.
