I want to start off by saying Joe is an amazing trainer that truly understands that every dog/handler is different. My sister and I had an evaluation with Joe & Andy in December 2021 where I am sure they thought we were in over our heads being two young girls with two young, high-drive breeds. We signed up for the 10-week on/off leash training with Joe being our trainer where we showed that we had more experience than it seemed. The 10 weeks were great! It was amazing to see the two tyrant puppies that were sitting between our legs during the evaluation not listening to two seven-month-olds, that go for hikes off leash and always get compliments on how behaved they are in public. We had our setbacks as every dog/handler does, but Joe never once blamed it on either of us, but rather offered a different method to solve the problem. The experience was great, and we look forward to taking the boys to protection classes at the other location in the fall when they have matured more. Joe was nothing but great to our boys, and they were always excited to see him at every lesson. I cannot thank Joe enough for helping us create two rockstars.

Paid for the 10-week training program for a leash-reactive Australian/Blue heeler mix and we are glad we did. Dewayne helped us get the pup to walk on leash without pulling and at the heel position. He trained us to expect more and he trained the pup basic commands, such as to stay at a distance while off leash with distractions. Dewayne continued to support us with follow-up phone calls and sessions to clarify concepts. He also met with us after the ten weeks was complete in order to practice weaker areas in a safe environment and with additional distractions. We put in many hours of homework to instill concepts in the pup that don’t come naturally, but it was well worth it. I highly recommend this service and trainer in order to overcome obedience challenges with your dog.

We have been members of the Dog’s by Andy family for almost 5 years now and are so thankful for Dewayne! He is an excellent trainer who truly cares not only for your Dog’s success but yours as an owner! Our big boy Gus LOVES Dewayne and Joe and with their help, our very protective Gus, has become more manageable in situations that I would have never but him or myself in before! He is a work in progress but every time they work with him, and myself lol, he gets better and better!! Highly recommend them not only for every day training but especially if you have a problem child!!
