Came here to get an engagement ring made from taking the stones in another ring and remaking the whole thing. I worked with Caitie and she were fantastic every step of the way, showed me the designs and gave me lots of options. She was communicative about price and the changes that happened depending on what we pick along the way. I was able to see a facsimile of the rings shape and general design in wax before she went on casting the real metal version which was also very helpful . The rest of the staff was also very kind and encouraging when I would come to visit. I ended up with a lovely star sapphire ring that my partner thought was absolutely perfect. I would recommend these guys strongly and know that you can trust Caitie with your ring needs!
So nice and helpful. I’ve always come in for pretty small dollar things - jewelry repair, cleaning, and watch battery replacements. But they’ve always been just as nice as if I was looking for something more expensive. Cool collection of local artist jewelry as well.
I’ve worked with Rose on a few rings, including a remodel of my wedding ring. It was an amazing experience — Rose was a pleasure to work with, and the final result was flawless!
I had such a great experience working with Rose DeRatto at Dransfield! She was wonderfully collaborative and efficient! I had gone to 3-4 other local jewelers in Richmond, inquiring about making custom matching pearl rings, from 2 loose pearls I have had for years, as a gift for a friend. I WISH I CAME HERE FIRST - it would have saved me so much time and trouble! Some shops were (understandably) unable to accommodate my timeline, whereas others were less flexible or weren't collaborative. Working with Rose was as simple as... I told her my approximate budget, described the design idea, and the timeline; and, once she assured I understood the risks of making a dainty pearl ring, she created a simple sketch of the design right in front of me, agreed to take on the project, and emailed estimates for multiple options within my budget! She was very proactive and timely in her communication, and completed the rings 3 days early! They came out beautifully - exactly what we discussed! Rose earned my trust and confidence so quickly by listening so well to understand the vision and working *with* me to creatively problem-solve how to make it come to life!
We had such an amazing experience working with Dransfield Jewelers for our wedding bands and my engagement ring. We worked with Rose to design my engagement ring almost two years ago. After our first meeting and me describing aspects of rings that I liked, Rose sent me about 12 different and unique designs based off of our conversation that were all absolutely stunning. My boyfriend at the time (now husband!) picked one of those designs to propose with and it was more beautiful than anything that I could have imagined. After we got engaged, we worked with Rose for both of our wedding bands, where she again displayed such patience and creativity while helping us with designs. I absolutely love my wedding band/engagement ring combination, and feel so happy that they are unique, stunning, and and inherently me. My husband is thrilled with his wedding band, and loves the custom engraving that I was able to put on the inside of it as a surprise. This was all thanks to Dransfield Jewelers and Rose. She was so patient, creative, and perceptive during all of our encounters and we can't thank her enough!
