If I could give zero stars I would. This place shames the entire Drybar franchise. They were highly unprofessional and unskilled. My hair was cleaner prior to going in! They don’t care what time your appointment is—and they tried to rip me off by charging me for an add-on that I never got because apparently they were too lazy and in too big of a hurry! For goodness sakes they didn’t even rinse the conditioner out of my hair! I have been going to Drybar locations all over the country for many years and this is simply not acceptable! This location needs to close or undergo serious management changes! Worst experience of my life! In addition, some lady that is friends with a stylist took a picture of my stylist working on my hair—never asked for my permission! This is a legal issue for not getting my consent to be in the picture! Unacceptable!!
This was my first time at the Drybar and will certainly be my last. The girl did an absolutely terrible job on the style I asked for. She was new and told me that, so she should’ve said that she couldn’t execute hair styles well instead of doing it. I had an event a few hours later so I panic called 10 salons in San Antonio and luckily someone was able to take me in. I had them completely take the hair style down, rewash, and blow dry my hair. Cannot believe I paid $170 for this just to have to completely take it down and redone.
Been a Drybar member since 2012, started back in DC. The quality of services has slowly deteriorated - most noticeably in the last 6 months here in San Antonio. The Quarry Drybar tried to save itself by bringing in a corporate training manager, but as soon as she left this location a couple months ago, you never can get anyone on the phone, some of the Friday crew looks like they don't want to be there and a couple of the staff are blatantly rude. Today, I got my hair yanked and was yelled at by a tech while in the wash bowl. Sorry I was 15 minutes late- if you need me to reschedule, just say so... Don't be aggressive and say we need to be in a hurry because you have a busy day. I was lucky a kind employee stepped in and took over. She tried her best to defuse a bizarre situation. When she finished my hair and I went up to check out, there were at least two other stylists that did not have clients. Confusing... Cancelled my membership and will not be returning do to utter shock. Sad to end the era. Might try a new chain in town for my 2-4 blowouts per month. Or regular salon does blowouts for the same price. Glad to have other options in Alamo Heights.
Evelyn did my hair and I HIGHLY recommend her she was amazing!! From her talent to her customer service you will be in great hands !! The manager Meg was so helpful as well!! Great experience overall
**7/17/25 Micah did my hair again and I absolutely love it. I awoke this morning and my curls are still going. Totally recommend Micah as your stylist. Tried Drybar for the first time. I absolutely love my Southern style. Micah was gentle and professional. Highly recommend.
