Wahsei Milan is an amazing teacher and role model. His classes are always engaging and beneficial. My son doesn't miss a class, he chooses class over anything else he might have goin on. Best Martial arts program in the area, in my opinion.
Eastern Academy of Mixed Martial Arts has been an amazing experience for my son. He just started JuiJitsu a few months ago (he’s 15) and has gained so much knowledge and is really enjoying the new activity. Thanks to Wehsai Miran for an excellent experience.
Stepping into a combat-focused class as a woman can be daunting, especially for survivors of domestic abuse. Yet, from my very first session, I was welcomed with warmth and respect, uplifting and reassuring me. Being in an environment that fosters communication, is incredibly supportive, and teaches safety is profoundly healing. It has become my safe haven, empowering me to grow. Whenever I approach Wahsei with questions—no matter how basic—he greets me with incredible patience and a commitment to my understanding. He takes pride in watching his students flourish. This unwavering support has ignited a newfound passion within me for the journey ahead. I am genuinely excited about the upcoming classes and the enriching experiences that await. This community shines as a beacon of positivity and kindness, and I am deeply grateful to be a part of it.
Eastern Academy of Mixed Martial Arts has been an incredible experience for my children. The owner, Wahsei, is patient, motivational, and truly embodies everything you would want in a real teacher. He takes the time to teach the kids the fundamentals of self defense and martial arts, making sure they learn the techniques properly rather than just rushing them along. We came over from a karate school where it often felt like belts were handed out just for showing up. At Eastern Academy, that is not the case. Every achievement is earned through effort, discipline, and growth. This not only makes the kids value their progress more, but also teaches them important life lessons about perseverance and hard work. Beyond the training, the atmosphere feels like a family. Wahsei and the entire academy have created a supportive, welcoming environment where the kids are encouraged to push themselves, respect others, and build confidence both inside and outside the gym. I could not be happier with our decision to join Eastern Academy of Mixed Martial Arts, and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a place where their children can truly grow in skill, confidence, and character.
I have trained at several martial arts gyms over the years, and I can honestly say Eastern Academy of Mixed Martial Arts is one of the best I’ve ever been to. The facility is clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything you need — from heavy bags to mats and gear. The coaches are professional, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what they do. Whether you’re a complete beginner or experienced fighter, they give you the attention and guidance you need to grow. The atmosphere is friendly and respectful, and everyone motivates each other to improve. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to train seriously and be part of a strong, supportive community! Give them a chance
