Taking a pottery class at this studio was such a rewarding experience. Our instructor, Yuli, was kind, attentive, and explained everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable even as a beginner. The environment is calm, welcoming, and truly a safe space for everyone. It’s a perfect place to destress, be creative, and connect with others in the community. Why buy when you can make your own crockery for home! The studio offers plenty more, classes like watercolor, acrylic, hand building, knitting; there’s always something new!
The acrylic painting class was such a wonderful experience! As a beginner, I appreciated how approachable and encouraging the instructor was, while still offering plenty of depth for those with more experience. Our group included a range of skill levels, and everyone came away feeling inspired and proud of their work. We started with core fundamentals and learned practical techniques for mixing colors, knowledge that immediately made a difference in how I approached my painting. Each person worked on their own piece based on a chosen inspiration photo, which made the process personal and creative. It’s the perfect class for anyone who wants to learn real painting skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. You’ll not only learn a lot, but also unwind, express yourself, and leave with something that’s uniquely yours. Big thanks to Gretchen and Echo Art Studio!
The studio itself is very nice and I definitely learned something new during the wheel classes. However, I decided not to continue because the communication with the studio is extremely poor. They don’t respond to emails or messages, and it’s not possible to reach them by phone, which is really exhausting. As a beginner, I needed to reschedule one of my classes, and they moved me to an advanced class without letting the teacher know. The teacher was confused about what I was doing there, and it felt like a waste of time. Each teacher also told me something different. One said I could come and practice on my own between classes, while another said no, that it’s only four classes and that’s it. They should definitely be more in sync. In the end, I was excited to bring some pottery i made home, but they lost all of our pieces, mine and my boyfriend’s. He only found one unfinished piece that was left drying before trimming, which is basically useless. Nobody helped us with it, and we left pretty disappointed.
The studio has all the tools and teachers to make you do serious pottery. Is so accommodating, in 3 clases I learned a lot more than I wad expected. Now I want more. Thank you for all the inspiration and learning.
Nice little studio! Came for the group pottery class and we had a good time. 90 mins class for $65 per person! There is a small lot and a few meter parking spots on the street. Would recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting messy. And for the ladies, you might need a hair tie!
