We were really looking forward to a nice dinner date, but unfortunately the experience fell short. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. The sweet and spicy shrimp were flavorful, and the bread was warm and enjoyable. We were excited for the Australian tomahawk steak, which was the main reason for our visit, but it was a major disappointment. We wanted it medium rare but intentionally ordered it medium to be safe, and it still arrived rare. While the flavor was acceptable, it wasn’t impressive, especially for the price. The sides were equally underwhelming. The mac and cheese was poorly executed—made with a roux that had coagulated, resulting in a bland dish where the cheese didn’t even adhere to the noodles. It barely tasted like cheese at all. The asparagus was overcooked and mushy. The wine was surprisingly decent, though it appeared to be a ~$20 bottle, which felt consistent with the overall quality of the meal. Overall, the experience didn’t justify the cost, and we likely won’t be returning.
A venue well worth visiting. Phenomenal layout, from just walking in.. and it only gets better. You're catered to by Knowledgeable barstaff with Accommodating front desk staff. Great menu with choices that you would more than approve of. Well-made libations, and dishes served with pleasure. Prepare your taste palate before coming. You'll thank me later.
My friend and I wanted a thanksgiving experience so we decided to visit Eddie Merlot on thanksgiving and try their thanksgiving menu. First of all, the place is so nice and the service was great. The main issue was with the food. The only good thing about their three course menu is the appetizers. My friend and I shared a Caesar salad and crab bisque, both were so good and the portion was also good. The main dish was the turkey with the option to choose two sides. I chose the mashed potatoes and broccoli. The turkey was so chewy and did not taste good. I could barely eat two bites from the dish. For dessert, we also shared a chocolate and carrot cake. The chocolate cake was tasty but too sweet. We did not like the carrot cake, it had a lot of cinnamon in it, which we’re not big fans of. Although we did not eat most of the dishes, no one bothered to ask us if we liked the food or if there was any problem. It was honestly the worst 50$ I ever spent on food and would not recommend.
Normally for Thanksgiving, I pre-order a takeout meal from a restaurant. This year, I decided I wanted a dine-in experience instead. After researching several restaurants with strong reviews, I was looking for a budget-friendly Thanksgiving meal for a party of five. Eddie Merlot’s stood out with its $50.00 per person Thanksgiving dinner, along with great drink and dinner menu options, so I made our reservation online. Upon arrival, we noticed the handicap door opener was not working. We reported it to the host, who informed us that management was already aware of the issue. On our way out, a host kindly assisted by holding the door open. Let me start by saying that I absolutely loved the vibe of the restaurant. Our server, Renuka C., was outstanding—attentive, warm, and consistently checking in throughout our dinner. We began with the calamari appetizer. Two of us ordered the Thanksgiving meal, which included Eddie’s House Salad, Hand-Carved Roasted Turkey with gravy and sage stuffing, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potato Casserole, Fresh Asparagus, and Carrot Cake for dessert. The rest of the table enjoyed the Trio of Medallions, Filet Del Mar, New Orleans Mixed Grill, and Triple Chocolate Cake. We also ordered two drinks: the Sake Sunset and the Prickly Pear Margarita—my daughter noted that the Prickly Pear Margarita was very strong. Every dish we ordered was absolutely mouth-watering. Everything was cooked to perfection, from the entrées to the desserts. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks—no complaints, only compliments. I highly recommend Eddie Merlot’s for a wonderful Thanksgiving dining experience.
What a great surprise! I usually check reviews first, but this time I just went with the flow and it was outstanding. Vanessa’s service made the night even better (she even brought me fresh jalapeños!). The grilled romaine salad is a must-try (and I don’t even like salads). The Wagyu ribeye was cooked perfectly, good portion, great value. Calamari and filet pop sticks were also excellent. And if you still have room get the carrot cake. Also my wife paid which made my experience perfect lol Amazing food, great service. This place makes life better!
