Edinburgh Local Wine School propose des formations et des dégustations axées sur le vin à Édimbourg. Située au 80 Lauriston Pl, elle guide les étudiants à travers les cours WSET du niveau 2 au niveau 3 avec Carrie, dont l'enthousiasme et un accompagnement clair aident les dégustateurs à gagner en confiance et à affiner les arômes et les saveurs. L'école organise également des dégustations et des événements conviviaux, y compris des dégustations d'équipe et occasionnellement des séances thématiques, dans une ambiance accueillante et bienveillante.

Recently completed a WSET Level 2 course with Edinburgh Local Wine School and must say that Carrie was a great tutor (even though she made us taste Asti - honestly, if you take the course just refuse, cite an emergency or fake a faint.) Her enthusiasm for wines and the winemaking process shine and she makes you feel at ease to ask those “stupid” questions we have but hate to ask. She’s incredibly good at improving your nose and palate; once she starts disassembling the aromas and flavours of the first few wines, it really opens your brain up to finding and recognising them on your own. She doesn’t force people to shout out their answers or suddenly spot quiz individuals, which I really appreciated being a bit of an introvert. If you’re considering a course to expand your wine knowledge in a friendly environment I honestly couldn’t recommend Edinburgh Local Wine School highly enough.
I recently undertook the WSET 3 course with Carrie. She is an exceptional teacher and her passion for all things wine is infectious. We tasted 84 (!) wines throughout the week and her guidance was incredible. I have come away from the course with massively enhanced wine knowledge and confidence in evaluating wines practically. I would encourage anyone with an inkling of an interest in wine, to start their journey with an Edinburgh Local Wine School course!
The Edinburgh Local Wine School is a brilliant place to learn about wine in a welcoming, fun and supportive environment. I completed my WSET Level 3 with Carrie and she is a brilliant wine educator - approachable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic for all things wine! The course was really well structured, with a good balance of tastings and Carrie covering the key information we needed to understand for the assessment. I've also attended a number of other tastings, including the eight week World of Wine course, a 2-course lunch tasting, and 'Off the Beaten Rack', discovering lesser known grapes and wines. These are a great way to spend a day/ evening, learning about a specific aspect of wine in a relaxed atmosphere, with some great tasting options thrown in. Get something booked - you'll not regret it!
Was lucky to attend a fab wine tasting hosted by Carrie from Edinburgh Local Wine School at a hen do. It was great fun, we played in teams, trying to guess the posh wines from the plonk. Carrie did a fantastic job: funny, lighthearted, and really engaging. Everyone loved it, highly recommended!
I did my WSET Level 2 wine course with Carrie at Edinburgh Local Wine school. The 3 day course was very informative, engaging and interesting! Wines supplied for the tastings were outstanding and really enjoyed tasting and learning about each of them! Would recommend and looking forward to more tastings!
