I had the pleasure of co-speaking with Elaine on a panel in Dubai at Function1 focused on “The Skillset of Tomorrow: Preparing for Jobs That Don’t Yet Exist.” Elaine has a strong ability to make complex future-of-work topics resonate with everyone in the room. Her points were clear, thoughtful, and deeply relevant, bridging AI and human skills in a way that felt both practical and inspiring. What stood out most was the depth of her analysis and her strong engagement with the audience. Her answers during the Q&A were sharp and insightful. I highly recommend Elaine for any conversation, panel, or initiative related to the future.
I was taking pictures of Elaine at /function1 a conference for 10,000 AI founders and engineers. Even though I was there to take pictures, Elaine was able to break down simple strategies for business owners like me when it comes to emotional intelligence and creating relationships. In fact, it was through Elaine’s relationships she helped me get 4 other clients at the conference. Elaine has wonderful energy, a great team player and was able to have the crowd truly listen to her. I saw her behind the scenes being able to manage what was needed from the event staff, while being professional on stage. I highly recommend Elaine as a speaker no matter what part of the world!
Elaine Lou Cartas is the career doula every woman of color deserves. Elaine was the perfect guide for me during a major career transformation: equal parts strategist, wise woman, and hype squad. She created a space where I could be fully honest about my fears and frustrations while gently guiding me toward clarity. Her questions don’t just scratch the surface; they invite you to excavate your own wisdom, uncovering the answers that have been waiting for you all along. If you’re looking for someone to simply tell you what to do, sure... she can do that. But her real magic is in helping you realize why you’re doing it, and how to align your next chapter with your purpose, power, and peace. I especially valued the combination of 1:1 sessions and group conversations. In those rooms, I felt seen and supported, especially as a Black woman navigating corporate and nonprofit spaces that often demand excellence without empathy. Elaine gets it. She understands the invisible labor, the cultural nuance, and the exhaustion that comes from trying to be authentic in systems not designed for you. Working with her reminded me that leadership doesn’t have to look like survival, it can look like joy, ease, and alignment.
This class was such an empowering experience! Elaine is skilled in Muay Thai and her and her team left me feeling secure in myself and my abilities. I loved that it was women-only environment and focused on realistic situations we’re more likely to encounter. The mix of close-combat techniques and practical strategies gave me a HUGE confidence boost. I also appreciated the thoughtful tips for moms on how to protect themselves with children and situational awareness tips gave me the knowledge and motivation to stay vigilant. It’s something I plan to attend quarterly to keep my skills sharp and stay alert in how to avoid or handle dangerous situations. Supportive, educational, and highly recommended to anyone wanting to feel more prepared and capable.
