Paprika (4.5 year old corgi) went through board & training in September. Upon return, she has significantly improved with her listening skills, able to sit/down, place, walk calmly on leash, and more. The take home packet was thorough, with instructions on how to solidify her new skills and ensure she doesn’t regress. Another thing I really appreciated was the frequent communication from Jey on Paprika’s progress. Paprika is my everything, and I was very nervous about not having her with me for several weeks, but receiving lots of photos and updates made me feel much better to know she was in good hands and learning lots! With the board&train program, you get several sessions during/after with the trainer. It is super easy to schedule sessions, and it’s been great working with Jey to continue practicing Paprika’s new skills!

Jey has been great to work with! It took a while to find a dog trainer who not only had an approach and philosophy that worked for me and my dog, but also genuinely treated it as a partnership and was willing to be flexible both in terms of scheduling, location, and within each session itself. I’ve also really appreciated their very practical, realistic approach to training and building routines and boundaries that both the human and dog can be successful at.

Jessica, is a great trainer. We have 6 years old lab girl who had an issue with self-control as pulling and jumping. We brought Lola for 3-week board and train program and it changed our walking experience incredibly. Now, my wife and I really enjoy walking with Lola. We are happy that we found Jessica and her training.

We brought our Lab/Golden Retriever, George, to Jey when he was right around 6 months. I was pregnant at the time so my husband and I wanted him to get basic obedience and leash training before the baby came. Couldn’t recommend Jey enough and George loved being there too 😃 before training he pulled on the leash for the entire walk and we could not get him to listen to basic commands when he saw other people or dogs. Since he has gone to training I can walk him alone with the baby and he does not pull at all, can heel when needed , and will hold a sit when asked even with dogs or people nearby. His overall listening improved so much as well. We had sent him for the 3 week board and train but love that there are multiple follow up lessons included as well. So grateful to Jey for helping George be the best dog he can!

I had originally met Jey at the Doberman rescue pack walks and loved the training Jey was doing with the pups. So we decided to move forward with the board & train program for our new rescue, Peanut! We had a great experience with Jey (Emerald Dog Training) and have been recommending Jey to all our friends & coworkers. Seeing the improvement in how Peanut listens, no reactivity to passing dogs, growth in confidence, etc. have been so rewarding!!
