The cutest tea store in Kansas City can be found at Emilie's French Teas in the Waldo neighborhood. This store has ready to drink tea, bags of tea that you can take home and make, as well as tea accessories. I went to this spot for the annual Waldo Sip & Stroll and had a wonderful time checking out the store. This is the perfect spot for tea lovers! There is a small area inside of the building that you can work remote or hang out with friends while sipping on tea. Check out Emilie's French Teas asap!
Emilie's teas is fantastic! Despite being next to a busy road, when you are sitting down and enjoying your tea, you feel transported to a tranquil location. The tea selection is numerous and interesting. Emilie also makes her pastries from scratch. They are well worth the wait. I can't recommend this place enough.
This is a hidden gem! Emilie and Alex are so kind and attentive, and they will tell you about all the different teas. The tea room has such a calm atmosphere, it's a wonderful little place to go for a reprieve from the chaos of life. They also do private tea parties-- we went there for my bachelorette party and had a great time trying teas and eating delicious pastries. They make the best croissants I've ever had! Every time I've been there has been a great experience, and I will continue to go!
Emilie’s French Teas is a jewel hidden on busy Wornall Road - and I encourage you not to let its location keep you from visiting! Once you are inside (they have parking adjacent to the front door), you have left Missouri and been transported to Europe where you will thoroughly enjoy a perfect cup or pot of French tea. Don’t limit yourself to the tea. Try one of their flaky, perfectly created pastries! ❤️ Take your laptop if you need a break from working at home or meet a friend. Emilie or Katie will take great care of you, and you will leave feeling more refreshed than you can imagine! This is now my go-to place for a refresher…. I leave there feeling so light and happy.
I heard about this place from a friend and wanted to check it out. This place is a hidden gem! If you like tea, you should definitely check this place out. There is really something for everyone. I enjoyed our whole experience! Emilie offers fresh baked pastries, and when I say fresh, they bake them to order and it comes out HOT! (Chocolate croissant, yum!) You are not rushed, and can enjoy a quiet space to sit, read, work or visit. You are free to walk around to smell all the different kinds of teas they have to offer. I would like to visit again, and maybe attend a class to learn about the different teas! They also offer massage and other services, but we didn't schedule any appointments for that this time. If you have a few minutes to relax, and want to try something different, I'd highly recommend checking this place out! Emilie was a great hostess, educator, and waitress!! I'm also including a picture of our favorite flavor from today!
