Amazing Fried Chicken and Champagne event. Probably one of the best we have been to in North America. This is a must on your list!
It's hard to be loyal to any one wine store cause price varies by wine but ESOW is becoming one of the first stores I check when I need to get a bottle. Great selection of French and Italian wines at competitive prices especially for older vintages. There are no outrageous markups so you can trust their pricing and offering even if you can find better prices for a particular bottle at a different store. Good for discerning buyers in the mid to high price ranges. If you are looking for bargain basement wines, just go to your nearest liquor store.
Absolutely love this wine shop! The selection is amazing—everything from great everyday bottles to special occasion wines. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to recommend something based on taste and budget. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I always leave discovering something new. Highly recommend! Andy and Danny are very helpful throughout every visit !
Empire State's evening with Christian Moeuix and his wines was just great, one of the two greatest wine tastings I've ever attended (the other was hosted by Robert Parker and featured 8 wines that he'd rated 100). everything about the evening was terrific; even the food was excellent, which is rare at wine tastings. Kudos to Empire State of Wine for hosting such a terrific event. Robert Siegler
The best wine shop I have been to in NYC; very friendly and helpful staff, with lots of deals every month. They also do Bordeaux wine tastings which I attend every time, and during each, Eddie and team share their insights with the crowd, which is tremendously helpful when making a decision. I’d advise to get on their newsletter as they also share all type of deals there on the daily.
