I asked Vanessa to help me a few months ago (and again recently) with my dog, Sadie. About a year ago, my rescue dog of 18 years, Rainy, passed. It was a difficult time. After 10 months, I managed to find another rescue. Sadie is a sweet dog, but I found (as I became more frustrated) that I was not ready to handle a 1 year old puppy. I was a becoming overwhelmed by her energy. I contacted Vanessa, and she worked with me (and Sadie) for a few months. It seems funny to say, but Vanessa helped me realize that Sadie was a great dog and great for me. I learned that appreciating Sadie didn't mean that she was or would be a perfect dog. I learned to enjoy her, or more accurately, I learned through Vanessa to accept her and embrace her. I thought that Evolve Dog would help me fix Sadie, but Vanessa helped me see her and love her.

It was wonderful working with Vanessa to help our rescue dog, Addy, manage his anxiety and reactivity on the leash. She came to our home for 3 private sessions and provided us with useful tips, games, homework, information, videos, and activities to help with Addy's anxiousness. She was able to gauge his behaviour in the comforts of our own home without the added pressure of a different environment or with other dogs around. She worked with us inside our home and then outside, while also bringing in her own dog to help with the training. She is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and empathetic - you can truly tell that she has a passion for her work and a dedication to dogs. We have seen Addy slowly overcome his anxiety and his sweet personality shine through. Thank you, Vanessa!!

It's been amazing working with Vanessa. She gave us so many good tips and helped us a lot with our 7 month-old rescue puppy. In just 4 training sessions and less than 2 months, we went from a very hyper and anxious dog, who was not listening a word and peeing everywhere, to a very sweet and caring (housetrained) dog, who can go hiking off leash, plays gently with our toddlers, who knows when to stay calm and that if we are working it means that he can have a nap. Vanessa always made sure to listen to our needs and customized the training sessions to our busy family life, which made things very easy for us. Can't recommend her services enough!

We had just added a 10 week old bordercollie/heeler pup to our family and had a whole bunch of questions regarding training dynamics for the breed. Vanessa was very knowledgable, efficient and professional in her approach to the training - especially considering we have members of the family with family physical limitations and customised training was needed. Currently our little guy is 5 months old and his early training with Vanessa has really paid off. Highly, highly recommend.
